Another person here to warn you that the JJCOLE BundleMe is not safe to use in the carseat. Anything that goes behind baby is potentially life threatening as it changes how the straps function in a crash and also adds an unknown amount of "slip" that can cause baby to be ejected through the straps in a crash. Also adds extra unaccounted for padding that compresses in a crash which causes the straps to actually be too loose and add to the ejection risk. Same thing goes for baby bunting suits/snow suits and those super thick winter coats in the car seat. Also, check your car seat manual about the seat protectors. Some seats do not allow anything to be under the seat and others only allow specific types of protectors or thin receiving blankets. Car seat safety is one of the things that I am very passionate about. I have loved following your pregnancy journey since I am due with twins on January 21st!

The hospital actually would not allow me to take my Daughter home from the hospital in the in jj cole they made me take it out đĽ but I kept it for use in the stroller if that helps đ¤ˇđťââď¸

Mom to mom, please dont use that JJCOLE Bundle Me in his car seat! Nothing bulky should go between baby and the car seat, just a thin onesie and fleecy sleeper, strap him in and place a thin blanket over him, along with a fleecy one and a shower cap style car seat cover. He'll be fine in that. I dont know why they show those covers on car seats on the packaging. Nothing that isn't made by the manufacturer should be used between baby and the carseat. Also the seat protector, I couldn't see the brand but I know here in Canada, using anything that isn't crash tested and sold by the car seat manufacturer should be used under the car seat and seat as well. Car seat safety is a huge thing now a days. Just informing you on what's safe and what's not :)

The BundleMe was a return for a reason ... the hospital probably didnt allow those parents to use it ... I know as a first time mom all the excitement is on baby and the gear and clothes you get BUT most important of all is the care and safety of your child ... there's plenty of knowledge on the web when it comes to being a new mom that you never knew being we don't come with manuals ... do some research please when it comes to feeding, gear,sleeping that's most important over what clothes or baby gear you'll be using
That jj Cole bundle me is NOT for the car seat!!!!!! Itâs SO UNSAFE! nothing that did not come with the seat should be in between the seat itself and the baby!! Thatâs why itâs marked down, my own local buy buy baby employees told me that. Get the shower cap style , the cozy cover. That is the safe one!
That bassinet is also not safe if you plan on having the one side down, so please do not use that with the side down!! Following ABC (alone, back, crib) for safe sleep is SO important. Obviously crib can be the actual crib, bassinet, pack and play. But the side of that specific bassinet voids the alone part!

The JJ cole thing really doesnât work in all the car seats. JJ cole has one that just goes over and his little face pops out, itâs a lot better and safer

I know this may come to a surprise to a lot of you, since it seems like you enjoy making fun and dragging people down but a lot of being a first time parent is figuring it out as you go. There is SO much information out there and so much to learn and know about. It is quite impossible to be fully prepared before baby gets here. We are all just doing our best here...there is no need to tear her or anyone else down for not knowing things. She will figure it out. A lot of hateful and judgemental people here. Iâm seeing a lot of bad reviews on that jjcole car seat cover. I had no idea. Itâs crazy that they can still sell it even though itâs so unsafe.
Itâs never actually been proven to be unsafe. Just a bunch of people saying it is with no evidence to support what they are saying.
@@Jessa8891 actually if you get into a car accident and you have one of those your insurance company will not cover it, so it's not just people making stuff up. Car seats have been tested for safety without any added padding between your baby and the seat.
Itâs safe to use in your car seat as long as itâs not in a moving vehicle. So for example some people click their car seat into their stroller, in this instance it would be safe for outside walks and such. But as soon as you get in a vehicle all products not sold by your car seat manufacturer is considered unsafe.
Itâs definitely deceiving that this information isnât shown on packaging though!

Hopefully the hospital will make her remove that JJ Cole bundle me before she can leave.

Beth Brown anything that isnât manufactured for the car seat is not supposed to be used with the car seat as it increases the risk for injury or death if involved in a car accident.

The car seat cover is not safe! Nothing should be between baby and the back of the seat that can impact how tight the straps are! I would return that one and get a âshower capâ style cover that just goes over top.
They are thin and are just fine. Itâs not like a puffy coat and does not prevent the straps from being tight enough. They are great because they also prevent cold drafts from the bottom of the car seat when outside. Iâm all about car seat safety but things like that are just fine. I had a car seat canopy whole caboodle and it was amazing for the winter and again did. It make the car seat unsafe.

A test is to put baby in with the cover installed and buckle them up with the straps passing the pinch test and then take baby out, take cover out and put baby back in WITHOUT adjusting the straps. There will be slack. Itâs not being rude itâs a fact that they are not safe as car seats arenât tested with these aftermarket pieces. I know I was thankful when people told me not to use them for my little boy but I guess to each their own if you want to take the risk. Use a remote start, warm car up before going in, dress baby in a sweater, use blankets, hats and boots. Use a shower cap style cover there are many alternatives to keep your child warm.
Sarabellaful, they are NOT puffy and allow you to get the straps tight enough. Puffy coat like items are what to avoid that cause exactly what youâre explaining. The Sherpa material in this cover does not have the same effect and is not different as if the baby were wearing a Sherpa sleeper... we can argue this all day but youâre info is incorrect and Iâm tired of you KNOW IT ALL MOMS preaching about car seat safety when most of you still do not know how to even strap your children in correct period. These safety moms are the same ones complaining about sippy cups being molding when the real problem is that they donât know how to wash a cup properly or at all as well. Not to mention the same ones putting fiberglass in diapers then trying to get a buck from some company. Donât believe everything someone tells you. No accidents have been reported of this product being unsafe.

The car seat cover isnât safe! I donât want you to not know that and something happen. If it didnât go between baby and car seat, itâd be totally safe. But nothing can go between baby and car seat for so many safety reasons. If something car seat related, besides the stretchy covers, isnât sold with the actual car seat from the manufacturer it is not car seat safe at all. Just want you to know mama â¤ď¸

What sucks about Buy Buy Baby is the coupons never work. And they mark their prices up SO high. The coupons only work on small random items here and there. They never work on the things you actually need, like cribs, bassinets, car seats, strollers... I miss Babies R Us.

I tried with our halo, a walker, bathtub, baby carrier & car seat all on separate occasions with current coupons but the coupon excluded all of those items. It excludes many brands and most big items.

Check with your car seat manual on if those seat protectors can be used with your specific seat. A lot of car seats do not allow for anything to be underneath them! Just an FYI!

I was coming to say that if you have anything attached or under your carseat (like the seat protector) your insuramce will not cover anything. They are very unsafe. I nanny for a police officer and he said the number of babies thrown from car seats and out of cars bc of those things is crazy.

I don't usually comment on our people's comments but as an old-school mom sort of. I had children in the 90's and 2001. There's so much hype about certain products today but if you don't leave your baby unattended then you can see what's happening also they make mirrors so you can see your baby in the car at all times. Also video monitors. Megan you are going to be an amazing mom because you are so prepared and there are a lot of assumptions on here that you're not going to take advice and that you don't know what you're doing but you and Anthony do and we wish you all the best âĽď¸
Just had my baby boy yesterday! Hardest thing Iâve ever done but it was amazing. Cherish it but do everything that makes you comfortable labor and birth is no joke
From a price/practicality point.. most would be disappointed in the bassinet vs a playyard/packnplay. You get so much more bang for your buck with a play pen that comes with a bassinet attachment. But I understand the whole 1st baby fascination with having the fanciest, most expensive this and that. As I'm sure yall will learn.. we all figure out what's truly necessary and practical after the 1st one happens and #2 or #3 come along.

Biggest tips are to deep clean and sleep as much as you can for these next 3 weeks. Also, even if your doctor says you could be close to labour, still keep in mind that you might go over your due date. Goodluck with everything! The first 4 to 6 weeks are hard but it wonât matter because youâll have your little baby boy forever

Learnt that it was also a waste to put baby in cute fancy clothes because theyâre gonna get pooped on. Sheâll learn the hard way that itâs not about the aesthetics. Itâs about safety and practicality
