Ederlezi is second version of song Djurdjevdan. Both versions are Serbian. And made by a Serb.Djurdjevdan song is remake of song from ww2 when Serbs were killed by Ustashe in Jasenovac, so one guy who was in a train to concentration camp made this song and later Goran Bregović added music on lyrics and also made second version called “Ederlezi”.

Thank you marija for this valuable background. I thought the lyrics was in romani language because of the sound of some words, the lyrics also say "Romá" im several parts. Is is possiblr that the song collects pieces from Romani tradition?
