I love the device I noticed on this video you have bolt on electric steering on a 200 hp motor yet on the yammi web site it only has 225 hp and upwards configured for the system
Hi Anthony, you can fit Helm Master EX to any Yamaha DEC outboards from 150 - 425hp.
Bolt on steering like the one shown here is required from 150-225... 250, 300 and 425hp models are available with built-in steering instead.
what happens to engine hour counter when using spot lock feature with this? Does this mean you are adding 10hrs / day to your engine hours, rather than using electric to hold you there?

Did I see a Minn Kota on the front of your test boat? Does this system do away with the need for that accessory?

Horses for courses, but the MK was fitted before Helm Master EX dropped in July 2020.
I think there's a small hiccup here. Staypoint isn't available with a single outboard correct?

Incorrect. Helm Master EX was designed from the ground up by Yamaha engineers to minimise impact on existing parts and operations. Thousands of hours of testing in all conditions have shown no problems.
Yeah Yamaha claims there’s no problem with the constant shifting.
