I just switched to alt myself and it’s definitely more clunky but I can see the potential. I noticed the worst thing that happens if you make a mistake is just stand still and can help in a fight, so it’s worth it. I’m right there with you in the struggle of the awkward phase

The biggest difference is gonna be timing... knowing when and when not to chase/ press considering that the timing changes... you gott relearn the art of disengaging with diff timing. Nick you probably can rehabilitate the hand that is affected by the carpal tunnel via exercise using one of those grip tools. That and also incorporating anti-inflammatory foods. They should help, it isn’t a cure all but it’s something to better health so

can you speak on the differences between claw and thumbs? in your opinion, which grip is superior and which grip enables players to play the game to the maximum potential? can you show us some things that you could do on claw that you can't do with thumbs ? and vice versa. i've always thought claw was the only way to wall bounce fast, and every player i meet who is a master in the game plays claw.
I play claw and paddles. Learned to play claw when I was a kid trying to do trickshots on OG mw2. Never changed it. Got paddles a while ago and now I blend the two. Can’t go without it now lol

1.basically you go into Xbox LFG act like a noob but then when u get into a match you carry them
2.start the rank grind from ground zero at an alt account so we can see what we need to do to progress
3. Try to do roulette with Alexa with challenges or you can use a wheel

I've only ever played alt on a standard controller.
I'm seriously thinking about getting a pro controller because I would never risk playing claw long term.
Alt is awesome in terms of reaction bouncing even on a standard controller.
I would love to see you playing some OSOK most games seem to be filled with PC players and I'd be interested to see how you compare with paddles etc.

You mentioned during the FFA on reclaimed that you want them to remove the mid cover back As In my opinion the only way they would be able to remove that is if they made back A's work how they did in Gears 3. In Gears 3 the only way you could back A at least the only way I can do it consistently is if you hit a corner of a cover and then immediately pull back while holding the trigger. If you tried to do it at an angle your shot would come out weird and hit the cover. That type of back A was possible in Gears 4 as well Just due to the fact that you have a lot more flexibility with back A's in four and five. I think gears 6 Should go the Gears 3 route in terms of movement

Personally I feel like everybody should just play on Thumbs / Default, All this Extra Bouncing shit people do is unnecessary and it makes them focus more on bouncing rather than hitting solid shots and playing smart

Any map with a sniper on both sides is a good map imo. Speyer is a good map for sure. It’s not fuel depot by any means but I think there should be a sniper on both sides on almost all maps.

Gears 5 has added delay to gnasher, inconsistent gib range, wallbouncing is useless thanks to aim assist and bullet magnetism, the running speed was slowed down, the wallbouncing/hyperbouncing is also slowed, the back As were also nerfed. Icy you are not the problem. The problem is TC thinks this is what gears players want and they dont give a rats ass about the actual top tier players.
yes the wrap shot doesn’t make logical sense but years and years ago when only a handful of people even knew about it and reaction shots for that matter made the skill gap even bigger. Now that everyone knows about it and they made it so easy to do now that skill gap has lessened again along with the entire game just being too easy and the skill gap is basically gone. It’s way way too easy to master gears 5. If you couldn’t get masters rank on gears 5 then I dunno what you tell you. But all the good players 10 plus years ago that were reaction shotting and wrap shotting before 99.9% of the player base even knew what it was let alone be able to do it looked at it as a skill advantage and nobody even was telling anyone else about it for a long time. We tried to keep it a secret as long as possible. Point being it’s hard to get mad at those shots when they pioneered a bigger skill gap in the game.

@@RedIcyyou gotta agree tho the wrap and reaction shots 10 years ago and really even up to about 6 years ago created a bigger skill gap bc literally no one knew about it but a select few people and even when they learned about it they couldn’t do it. I agree it’s not logical to be in the game but it definitely created a bigger skill gap back in the day
I hate how Gears 5 is pretty much made for noobs and has no skill gap unlike previous Gears games. I bet you that botwalker Marcus wouldn’t even get 2 kills in Gears 4 which is why he’s on Gears 5.
