Link drinks Fanta (feat. the return of OKEY) 0:00 Japan 3:56 USA 5:28 United Kingdom 6:17 Mexico 7:46 Spain 8:41 Chile 9:13 Germany 9:43 France 12:04 Brazil
The Japanese commercials that had both a female playing alone, and later a male playing alone is actually pretty smart. Guess its Nintendo's subtle way of telling that its for everyone
Fun Fact: Actually in this ad 6:47 the voice actor is the same guy who does the voice of Piccolo of Dragon Ball Series for the spanish latin american dub
But I'd love to hear that full arrangement without sound effects! It's a shame many of these commercials have these unique arrangements that never get released...
@@vini64 Yeah, it would be awesome to have them included on soundtracks, for example. I've always wanted to hear the Super Mario Bros. Overworld Theme that sounds in the japanese Paper Mario (Mario Story) commercials. Also the Piranha Plants' song in Super Mario RPG.
I find it fun that the japanese commercials are a bunch of people playing the game and the US commercial is basically like "HAVE YOU GOT THE BALLS?!?!" The tonal shift is awesome, and it's still cool because it asks about you having the wisdom and courage to take the challenge on, which ties to the story.
Japan: Too dramatic The rest of the CM: 2 many Gamer's suck at this game. USA, Mexico, Spain, Chile, German, France & Brazil: Too classic To be Remembered Mexico: Mirinda. Hard game? No More. Also Brazil: That's a whole trailer!
Anyone remember the version that said "Will you save the girl? Or play like one?". Apparently the internet is trying to forget, but I won't let it. It's history!
So many little gameplay differences can be seen in many of these ads, the Brazilian one in particular has different cutscenes and fonts. The earlier Great Fairy can be seen in the American and most European ones.
It seems it stopped being allowed *very* quickly because it was never used again in the other UK commercials. Not helping is Zelda's massive female audience.
6:17 ... I think the Mirinda-drinking Link one unlocked the core-est of core memories just now (I was 4 at 1998, didn't even play the game until much later in high school). I don't even remember the Chilean one and I'm from Chile... 6:47 Shout-out to Mexico's version of the commercial being narrated by Piccolo (aka Carlos Segundo)
Does anyone know what font is being used in the majority of the commercials with fire behind the text? I have been looking for years. ¿Alguien sabe qué tipo de letra se utiliza en la mayoría de los comerciales con fuego detrás del texto? He estado buscando durante años.
Does anybody know what the alternative soundtracks for the european commercials are? They definitely sound like Raiders of Doom, but they are very distinct variations of the same musical ideas, I don't know if they are indeed composed by Basil Poledouris himself, there are rumors in some comment sections to the individual spots saying that they were composed by him specifically for the trailers, but the sources are not very clear.
6:22 Ah yes I remember that part in Oot where Link drinks a bottle of Fanta and the game softlocks
Wait what?
Miranda *
somehow it is a good commercial it has the balance of not being bizarre and promoting
@@hazemimam6826 mirinda **
I hate that part
Like DUDE WE JUST WENT THROUGH THE SHADOW TEMPLE AND *NOW* YOU'RE TAKING A YEARLONG BREAK?!?!

Os americanos não sabem disso.
Don't forget Woody
@@osupeplayz8853 Not every American is stupid, why do you think most of us end up as a Doctor.
Mario drinks milk
Link drinks mirinda
Pac-Man drinks 7UP
What’s next? Sonic drinks Pepsi?
Sonic drinks Hetap
Yo the JPN commercials gotta calm down, Lost Woods isn't THAT intense.

I'm loving it 😂 makes me want to dance! 😅 but you guys are right, we need these scores released as standalone songs

6:18 game commercials were weird back then, some of them still are weird to this day
A yes this is where the modern zelda started is almost impossible to own an n64 whitout this game
Fun fact: some of the commercials use the early design of the great fairy. Wich is better than the half naked one we got
I find it better
So many little gameplay differences can be seen in many of these ads, the Brazilian one in particular has different cutscenes and fonts. The earlier Great Fairy can be seen in the American and most European ones.
Why are the German Nintendo commercials always the most epic ones
5:47 that would not be allowed today
That’s my favourite and the best one imo.
It's so bad! 🤣
It's-a me, Misogynio!
It seems it stopped being allowed *very* quickly because it was never used again in the other UK commercials.
Not helping is Zelda's massive female audience.
Based marketing
Happy 25th anniversary to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time!
the first commercial in that video was the best one
Só faltou alguém chegar no comercial brasileiro e falar "Muitos pegaaaaas"
6:17 ... I think the Mirinda-drinking Link one unlocked the core-est of core memories just now (I was 4 at 1998, didn't even play the game until much later in high school). I don't even remember the Chilean one and I'm from Chile...

I loved the video
0:45 that was my reaction to the watertemple too lol „hää?“
6:22 The Legend of Fanta (?) - Soda of Time (?)
I miss the "Many picks" in Brazilian commercials ( ; - ; yes , I'm BR )
It's morrocan commercial, not mexican
Miranda of time miranda is like fantasy but popular in arabic countrys
Mitou
Mds, nem sabia que tinha Comercial BR de Ocarina of Time, q foda
Cara o comercial brasileiro me pegou desprevinido, tanta gameplay da beta que eu nem sabia a existencia! Realmente um classico dos games.
Insane how much they spoil compared to today. Second phase on the end boss, hookshot, ocarina gameplay etc.
Great game
0:50 yo the songs FIRE
what is the music they used for the spanish uk and german trailers
Best commercial ever 6:17
Also featuring Mexican Fanta.

Mmm i don't remembre to have seen this Great fairy before

They do use the "Riddles of Steel/Riders of Doom" music. It's likely that Nintendo got legal permission and paid for the licence to use that music.
indeed they're a different version, I'd love to find them in hd
That music was from Conan the Barbarian.
"Will thoust get the girl, or play like one?"
its-a me, misogynio
And then they get trolled when beating the game still doesn't get the girl
The Fanta commercial gave me nightmares but it's weird.
Italy got forgotten
Mamma mia!
First gameplay reaction ever..
that girl in 0:40 she damn cute
wth why did mexico get it so good
0:18 Why is Saria's theme going so hard?! Is this where the Ocarina of Time Medley got the inspiration for that part?
I just changed the like button from 420 to 421. 420 =weed.
The Brazilian commercials look and sound… different.
Mirinda commercial is not from Mexico
I wish the Japanese commercials had done more. They seem so dull compared to the standard one they came up with in America.
4:04 HUH
British ad was based
6:18 @Mr Bit
My quote for this game: We're going 3D, boys!
12:04 BRASIL🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳👍
6:17
Umm the end of the ad has arabic text 🗿
Dunno what country tho 🙃
prolly Saudi or Kuwait
In some of them the music is "Battle Of The Mounds" from Conan The Barbarian, but i can´t guess the spanish one... ⚔
6:53 thats NOT my great fairy
What I need say?
Do you have what you need? (A nintendo 64 game system ;D and a pair of balls to end the game)
6:18
I remember me, Time flys 😎
Nice move of Brazil spoiling the game with a trailer
DOKUYON
He actually says "ROKU-YON" 😉
« OH YA OH YEAHH »
what about in italy?
Actually the Merinda one is Arabic LOL
COCKU JONG
mirinda commercial language is arab!

Willst thou get the girl, or play like one would not go over well in 2023
But I don’t care
It was great bait.
Beating the game doesn't get the girl 🤣
