Sankta Lucia - Celebrating Light in the Dark of Winter December 13th St Lucy's Day 2023

During winter in the north, the sun hardly rises for a few hours each day. On one of the darkest days of the year we celebrate the feast of St. Lucy or Sankta Lucia as she is known in Sweden, bringing light into the darkness with candles, songs and bright yellow saffron pastries called Lussebulle.
