  • New roads, cleaner streets, new buses and more homes for a growing population. BUT the dream of a new modern Lagos doesnt come cheap. With an expanding list of development projects and a population that will hit 25 million in a few years, Lagos State estimates it would need around $50 billion to finance this model mega city project.

Ben Akabueze an Ibo man and a comissioner in Lagos. This is what I want. I'm a yoruba guy. Square peg in square hole. Fashola meant business. I am so happy to see triabalism been put behind qualities and ability to deliever. God bless you Fashola.

This is actually what is called one Nigeria, seeing another tribe man in other government. i love yorubans, though they are not our problem in Nigeria, they are fair people. i wish our Ibo governors will emulate this, to employ yorubans in government. with this, one Nigeria will be extra ordinary, and firm. Hausans should know that Nigeria is a country for all, let's all love one another and live in peace, it will encourage unity and development. Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, WAZOBIA. one love.

Ese!!! Dalu!!!! Well written my brother. I will like to see in other states even if its only one competent people irrespective of their Nigerian ethnic group give the job for their experience. We will get them we just need COLLECTIVE TOLERANCE AND THE VISION TO SEE A UNITED NIGERIA IS A PROSPEROUS ONE.

Hey! Take it cool. Why are u sounding hateful? I believe this is a step in the right direction. Hope you know how many years it took us to get a governor who is thinking of making lagos better. Fashola aint that stupid not to realise Lagos need all that you listed. Its one thing at a time. He'll get to that. Also, remember all the politicking by the Federal Govt. Just pray for him and support him.

@09272575110 It depends on the job you are seeking. Their are jobs in the entertainment/movie industry(ex. nollywood), fashion industry, healthcare(ex, doctors), business, corporate, and etc and depending on which one you pick, some are easier then others to get because of connections & based your skills. when it comes to business you can do almost anything actually, I would advise you to watch the video eye on Lagos - business Climate & Nigeria's brain gain, when it comes to business

why build a mega city...give the money to another state governor so they can expand and renew their own state too..lagos is too crowded,
I say Fashola for President ~~~~~so he can take care of the electricity issue....

@09272575110 when it comes to corruption in Nigeria, well it exist but that is slowly being combated in Nigeria now. My first advise to you is figure out what job you want, make friends with educated & successful Nigerians that have jobs in Nigeria ask for advise, then travel to states or cities in Nigeria with Nigerian friends like Lagos, Abuja to have a feel of how the job market is in Nigeria and how Nigerian society is when it comes to accommodation(eye on Lagos - rent) and etc
