Interesting idea but I think the 4 foot width is a fatal flaw. It would be way more versatile at 5 foot or slightly more. I had it loaded in my Amazon cart from your last video but now I’m going to drop it. Thanks for the great content as always!

Thanks for showing us and take care.

The packing size and fact you get sidewalls is awesome... throw an extra tarp over the top with a little hanging over the back to ensure rain doesnt get in and you have a great open front shelter or close down the front and have a closed tent. Great find! Great video!

I think the wings are a real nice touch. And I love how it's packable and very lightweight. Awesome video and very nice item man!!

Just like a Whalen lean to Onewind makes amazing quality I also have their ultralight poncho it's the best on the market for its price hands down i also thought these paired together would make the ultimate super light shelter!!😁✌️💚✊️🔥

Or you could just buy a tarp that isn't only 4 foot wide 🙄

@beansandbandaids8667 multifunctionality and variations are much better... you can't wear a tarp as a poncho and so on.. but yeah you must be a computer survival expert 😊

First of all enjoyed your video. But your setup was slightly off. You have to come in three loops from both pockets ends. They refer to as the 3 and 5 loop. That way the wings will touch the ground. I believe the pockets are used for sand for stones in case you can't stake them.

If that is the only configuration, it limits your shelter possibilities....and the weather conditions that you can use it in....which changes the possibilities of your survival.
The "pockets" should be for poles/sticks, to prop it up....so they should be down and towards the inside.
    Thank you for the review.
    Keep up the great work.

I don't think it's the only configuration, blackie thomas did a review on it. In his review you can see the instructions at one point which look like you can set it up a few different ways.

I like the wings, but if you need to ADD a poncho or an additional tarp to increase protection, the tarp (being 4 feet deep) is too narrow for me.
Personally I will continue to use my 10x7 Aqua Quest Defender tarp as a survival shelter.

Use a 9 x 9 tarp for one person. Use #36 bankline for your ridgeline and any tie outs. Its stickier than 550 cord. Use either a tautline or a truckers hitch to attach the ridgeline to each of the trees. Attach two Prussick knots on the ridgeline (before you go camping) and use small wooden toggles to attach the tarp to the ridgeline tie-pit loops. One of your better tarp set-ups is the Appalachian Wind shelter configuration. It gives you coverage in back, on the sides and somewhat in front. Pitch it in parallel to the prevailing wind. Another simple yet effective set-up is the plough point (or diamond) configuration. As with the Adarondack set-up you can use a tree (s) or with three cut poles as a stand alone. Pitch the plough point with its back to the prevailing wind. Your next best set-up is the pup tent configuration. Its a very 'airy' set-up and can be pitched high from two tree or pitched low and tight with a 45 degree downwards Ridgeline from one tree. The Adarondack configuration with a long fire (one step away from your tarp) and a reflector backstop behind the fire reflecting heat back toward you can be a comfortable shelter even in low temps. good video. as a lightweight camp shelter with a good fire i would say good but as a survival shelter i would rather use a poncho.

The shelter looks great and your right with the poncho it would work nicely, you could also use it in a super shelter in the winter. And I would also use it in the configuration of the pockets on the inside so as to not only place extra cord in but also things like cell phones ect into.i am wondering why you are no longer carrying 55 gal 3-6 ply drum liners for derbies mattresses ect? I liked the video you did on the homemade M.R.E.'s and they are great for using with hunting and fishing to.

Great video! I would like to have seen you use it with the poncho you mentioned. From a product perspective, I don’t see why I would want that over a regular 3m x 3m sil-nylon tarp… a regular tarp would be way more flexible.

interesting concept forsure. I think a continuous ridgline like you mentioned would be ideal forsure. what are pitching options with it they do seem fairly limited. Thanks for the video.
