- Worry is like telling our omnipotent God the unthinkable: “I don’t trust You.” Yet worry is still a struggle for many who have experienced God’s goodness-even mature believers. Reflecting on Jesus’ words about anxiety, Alistair Begg explains that we can think rightly about our troubles when we view them in light of God’s Word. Only then will we trust our burdens to the One who can truly bear them.

Recently I have heard this message on worry and anxiety repeatedly. God is speaking to my heart to let go of the fear and anxiety that have nearly destroyed my faith. After losing our daughter I found myself fearful of everything. It has taken 18 months to get to a point where I can combat the enemy and know the peace only He can bring. I'm still struggling with anxiety but God is faithful and healing has begun.
Dear Terra, having lost our son I can assure you that God totally understands and accepts all that you are going through. . As C S Lewis said he never knew grief felt so much like fear. God healed me over many years., the sadness never leaves but one day you will find yourself smiling when you remember her love. You never get over losing someone you love but God does have total compassion for us and holds us in his loving arms. Be still. The world will never be the same without your beautiful daughter, but she is safe and well in Gods lovings arms. God knows every single tear and fear. All my love. xx

@marydagostino9568 it's been 3 years and 1 month. She was 24 and was shot in the head by a new boyfriend. She was also an organ donor, which made everything so much harder.i stayed by her side for 3 days. I've since changed careers and am working to get my RN. I'm currently working in the hospital where she was in ICU. It's strange yet very rewarding to care for patients who are also suffering and dying. The work is hard, but the rewards are worth it.
Thank you for this message. To remove the tyranny of fear that engulfs me, I must come to Jesus and empty myself before Him.

Am truly going through the valley right now with anxiety.. I know by heart that I will overcome these trying and hard times, but sometimes by frailty of the flesh my anxiety tends to cause a burnout that truly causes fear in my life. Grandma always said (in a Southern accent), "Worry is like a rocking chair: you go back and forth and don't get anywhere." She also said, "A stitch in time saves nine." Jesus said, "In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world." Now, "it's no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me," so whether I worry or not, no present trouble compares to the glory that awaits us.
My grandma used to say
"Where there is a will, there is a relative."
The description of panic is very accurate.
Unfortunately I know all to well.
But for everyone in it right now; it will get better, you won't die because of it, you will find peace again!

Thank God for this man. In the wake of the recent exposure of the RZIM ministry issues it is refreshing to know that there are still people in ministry with integrity who speak God's truth in a discombobulated world.
Im 70 and was born a year after Alistair, I had wished I could trust God as he does and believe all the things he believes from the Bible, I want to, but it's hard for me, even when I want to , BUT one time watching a video of his I realized I could just believe and Trust GOD in anything that Alistair does when I haven't been able to understand something before believing, For Example , I have no doubt that Alistair believes in his heart that "My Times are in Thy Hnds" So I dropped my struggle with that and now I do believe that MY times are in GODs hands, I want to know and trust GOD the way Alistair does , SO I decided to believe and trust GOD as much as Alistair does , that eliminates my struggling with that, And Now I also can use the same method about Anything GOD says in HIS word also, Im SOOO relieved to not have to work out things in my head anymore if God and Alistair say it's true !! I hope that helps at least one dear soul,

Oh, the world needs to hear this message. How much time we waste worrying about things, when we should focusing on how much we need to increase in our faith in God,( I know I do), who alone has the ability to provide us with what we genuinely need; which is HIM. (Not social philosophies) Seek FIRST the Kingdom; God will guide you through the fears, for; truly, only He can.

I surrendered to God a few years ago. And yet, I am lonely, getting older quickly, jobless, and so tired of life. I understand that God is in control. But does He even see me or hear me? I have hope after this life, thanks to Jesus, but I am hopeless in this life. I don't know how much longer I can take it all.
Same boat here, but when darkness falls, and everything is hopeless, God is there, just do not light your own fire for light, As He is the Light, I doubt, I worry for my family's sake, I see no way out. My trial is from my own sin, always "clever", choosing the wrong path. All accumulated to where I am now, I trust in God, but the inner fight between flesh and spirit is on going. I need to prep a Proposal, I will find myself thinking, if this does not go well, I have lost my last chance, I need to remind myself that God is control, not the person I am submitting my proposal to. Nor am I in control, and I pray for wisdom, everytime during this 5 year trial, somebody committed, they broke the commitment, so who is there to trust? God the Father, Christ Jesus who lives in me. May God bless, and give wisdom to those in trials.
Our Saviour is our Creator. Sustainer and Redeemer, the sovereign of the Universe with whom nothing is impossible! Thankfully, the Holy Bible is replete with all the instruction and encouragement we need for life! But , we must receive Jesus as saviour and daily trust in him and his love and mercy!!!
That sitting there and waiting on a doctor report does make a person do alot of thinking. I never want to do that again. I am very thankful of all what the father in Heaven. has done
This sermon came to me at the most oppotune time, today is Saturday 22nd May 2021. Last night my night was filled with doubts and fears. I was consumed over matters over which I had no control. I am a Christian and I pray, I turn my situation over to God; however the enemy was still bringing matters that I had turned over to the Lord in my mind. Then this morning I came accross this sermon, I am thankful for your ministry. "Why worry? Pray, believe and leave the rest to God"
I prayed for my neighbor who is worried for her daughter and her family, she is alienating her family, the whole family may split because of her daughter and i prayed with her. And have not stopped because i believe in the Kingdom of our Lord, He is the only One who can help them
Renewal of the mind is essential to win this battle. Memorizing key scriptures for specific problems and then whispering them to yourself and praying them to the Lord will help keep our minds on what is true. This godly and freeing discipline will keep our minds from being lured by every butterfly thought sent by the devil and keep our minds and emotions anchored and unmoved on the rock of God’s eternal and unchanging Word. Remember, you’re going to be thinking on something throughout the day, there’s no way around that. Why not think on the Word of God instead of junk that drains you.

Many are suffering and this sermon is very precious to all those who have no money for food or have not a roof over their head. May God Bless you all, times are difficult, our food and energy prices have increased by our government, many cannot afford basic needs, God help us all. 2Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, of love and of a sound mind.

All went well with surgery It was about 90 mins and then recovery wake up.
I could not wait to get out of hospital. I begged Dr to release me.
I left hospital before lunch day after surgery. I have been resting putting ice on and off when elevated
walking and exercising.
I Was sitting out on patio this morning enjoying fresh air. So glad to be home Praise Jesus!!

I am also experiencing such terrible anxiety , that even if I try to lay down it is just as bad.
I used to have anxiety attacks so long ago and one day they just stopped, but now, during Covid, free floating anxiety pops up out of nowhere.

Dear Pastor Begg, thank you for your brilliant and inspired exposition on Luke 12:22-31. As a born again follower of Christ, I am continually renewing my mind in the Word.
Thanks to your teaching I now have a better understanding of the verse “For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing”. I am convinced that everything we need for life and living is to be found in the Word of God. I am learning to feed regularly on the Word of God so that I do not suffer from spiritual starvation.
I have always struggled with worry. Not so much about myself, but about my family.
Me too, in the recent past. You can experience the separation from the world, keep praying, His love and comfort is incredible.

It is true. Fear is of the Devil. It is very frustrating though given the way our own governments in this world are determined to control and manipulate our lives, as if our freedom to be ourselves is a sin. Yet we are free as we are born free. For God determined we are free, and free to choose him Christ. May God always allow us to be given this choice despite the Devil. Amen.
