This was my favourite scene in the book.
Shadow, Mr Wednesday and Mr Nancy riding this carousel and then Mr Wednesday really suspensefully reveals to Shadow that he's actually the Great Norse god Odin! What a shock it is that they took the carousel out of that scene in the tv series!

I thought that was going to be in the second season. Is that out yet?

I don't know about the second season.
But I do know there is a scene somewhere in the first season where Mr Wednesday does reveal to Shadow suspensefully that he's actually the Great Norse God Odin. But as I recall in the book it was during a scene where Shadow,
Mr Wednesday and Mr Nancy were riding the carousel that's shown in this video in a museum called The House on the Rock that Mr Wednesday reveals to Shadow in a suspenseful way that his true identity is the Norse God Odin.

Future update. The carousel scene in the first episode of the season 2 was awesome. They did an excellent job.

This was exactly my view of the ride, so these people must have been standing right next to me! :)

Don't worry, you wouldn't get to ride it even if you came here... The reason this ride was so special, is because they made an EXTREMELY SPECIAL exception for him... it's a very delicate carousel that they have let only a handful of people ever ride. They probably had him ride the animal least prone to breakage

so this carousel is actually in his book? Really? I've never even heard of this carousel or the attraction House on the rock.

This carousel is quite old.... and also quite dangerous and delicate.... It's why they normally don't let anyone ride it... there are lots of thin sharp pieces everywhere that if not careful can be broken off by careless riders. The odds of getting to ride it are less than that of winning the lottery.

House on the Rock is one of those places you see signs for while driving on the interstates in Wisconsin, especially around the Wisconsin Dells (a resort area based around a river and some lakes) where there are all sorts of interesting places to visit within a few hours drive away. We never went there ourselves, but I remember seeing the signs and the little brochures for House on the Rock you could grab at rest stops all the way back to the early 80s when we did a lot of road trips.
