    Hey Soldier Medic, great video! I hope you learned a lot throughout your 68W training here. Your motivation and Leadership ability helped to ensure your team was one of the strongest out there. Make sure you never stop learning and keep up the great work! "Warrior Spirit!!!"

    awesome video man. I'm deciding right now whether I want to go to Paramedic school in a year and stay a civillian or if I want to join the Army as a 68W, I already have my EMT. Any light you can shed to help with my decision would be awesome and again great video.

      Well, I think it really depends on what you are looking for in the long run. I joined the Army National Guard to help with college as well as all the other perks that the military can provide such as education and experience. Now, since you already have your EMT it will significantly cut down your AIT training time by 6-8 weeks. There is active ARMY, reserves, and ARMY National Guard, so many different types of enlistment. Enlisting has been one of the greatest and most rewarding things I have done in my life so far. I strongly encourage you to go and speak to the recruiters of active, reserve, and guard and see which would be the best fit for you! If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to contact me.

    I'm so nervous I'm a split and ship to AIT in a month. while I can pass my PT test and have been in the medical field for 7 years, I've always been a bit clumsy and not a good leader. I'm hoping I will make it.
    I was nervous about basic but actually cried when it camd to leaving lol
    does anyone have advice?

      Listen to your Cadre and go to the extra trainings after evening formation, if they still have those. Class 4-92.

    Do you need a drivers license to become a 68w? My recruiter is saying you do and another vet I know is saying you don't.

      You don't need a civilian driver's license for this MOS. However, your unit will put you through Driver's Training so you can be licensed on military vehicles, especially the M997 FLA.

      mateo arriaza what's up?

    • @pupusatime99
      @pupusatime99 Před 7 lety

      Connor Kovatch Okay so I'm interested in becoming a nurse and I know the most reasonable MOS to become just that is a 68C but I'm very interested in becoming a 68W but all they get is a EMT certification whereas 68C gets an LPN. I heard about 68wM6 so I was wondering if you have any knowledge about that or if it even exists. Basically I want to see action but at the same time get my LPN. I don't know if that possible.

    • @ConnorKovatch
      @ConnorKovatch  Před 7 lety

      mateo arriaza well the thing you need to ask yourself is are you going active or reserves. If you go active, yes you only get your EMT but we do so much more army side than civilian. Such as cricothyriodotomies, needle chest decompressions, giving a wide variety of meds, where as EMT civilian side gives oral glucose and oxygen.

    • @pupusatime99
      @pupusatime99 Před 7 lety

      Connor Kovatch Yes I forgot to mention that on interested in being in the Reserves. I know I hear 68Ws say that they do so much more and that they deserve more. But do you thing it would be beneficial in any way to become a nurse or something around those lines? Also is 68WM6 an actual thing?
