  • An Air heater coupled with the Comfort control panel is usually our customer's top choice for heating different compartments♨️
This dynamic duo allows easy access to all AUTOTERM’s top features, like:
✅Power mode - Used to heat the compartment in a preferred, selected power, without adjusting the temperature.
✅Temperature mode - Used in compartments that are not well isolated. While reaching the temperature setpoint heater reduces the power, prolonging the heating time and evening heat distribution into the compartment. That decreases the number of starts and the fuel spent.
✅Thermostat mode - Mostly used for well-isolated compartments. By adjusting the hysteresis it allows to make the system more energy & fuel efficient. Can be set in such a manner that it works as frost protection.
✅Heat+ventilation mode - Used to ensure that the heated air is well spread across the compartment.
How exactly do these modes work?
Take a look for yourself, this video has got you covered!

Can the Autoterm 2d just do ventilation without heating? Like if it was really hot or stuffy in the van just have it suck fresh air in? If this is not a feature would it be possible to “hack” it by setting a really cold temperature in heat and vent mode?

Is the Flow heaters still made in RUSSIA? Or owned by russian??

I have been using one 2 D heater for 2 years on my van. I use it only when it's really cold but the heater reminds me everymonth to run it during 30 minutes to prevent clogging of the system. It's hard in summer when the temperature is above 30°C! What's the best mode to prevent clogging?

Hey! The best way to prevent clogging is to run the heater on max power at least once a month for those 30 minutes, as the panel says. If you use it rarely, only when it's really cold, make sure that when you do, you run it on max power. Low power is the main cause of those carbon buildups.

Sorry but what is the difference between temperature and thermostat mode? Both of the sto pthe combustion process once the temperature is reached, I don't understand, thanks

Temperature does not stop the heater, it just ramps down to the lowest setting - the up again to maintain the desired temp - thermostat shuts off the heater entirely if it drops below a certain setpoint which is very heavy on startup battery usage.

So basically between temperature mode and thermostat mode the only difference is that in thermostat mode the range (hysteresis) can be changed, I just tested them on mine and both shut down the combustion process indentically, so there isn't a mode where the heater is always on, just in power mode, right?

In general, the temperature and thermostat modes are very similar, the difference is that in temperature mode heater will start on max power and gradually lower the power when approaching the set temperature, but in thermostat mode, it will work on max power all the time until it reaches setpoint. In both of them, the heater turns off when it reaches the setpoint. The only mode when the heater won't turn off is the power mode, that's right.

@@autoterm9896 That is not correct? In temperature mode, the heater does not turn off - it merely goes to the lowest setting once that temp is met. In Thermostat mode it turns the heater on and off?

Hello! It depends on the insulation for the compartment. With bad insulation, the temperature mode will consume less and with good insulation thermostat mode will consume less.

Is this Autotherm 2D or 4D?

It works the same with both Air 2D and Air 4D heaters!
