Thanks. I thought about doing tabs or chord charts but it would take so long! With this song in particular I got lucky - there's a cover on youtube by a guy named Lili Guiochon that is so so good. In the bottom left corner of the video he's playing the piano part and it's an arpeggio of every chord. So if you watch it at half speed then you can pretty easily figure out every note in the chord (if you play piano). Unfortunately, I had to do some compromising when it came time to convert them into guitar chords. Maybe you can figure out a better way to play it. Here's a link to Lili's version: czcams.com/video/xHeSiqTWzt4/video.html
I have a dare for you. Do a medley of about 12 pop songs that use the I V vi IV progression, but for each section, show how some alternate tuning distorts the pitch content under the same guitar fingering. I know you can find 10 established alternate tunings, so it's a matter of putting them in order from least disrruptive to most disruptive.
Interesting dare. I don't like to mess with alternate tuning though. Very occasionally I'll do a drop D but that's it. I have a hard enough time keeping the guitar in tune when I stick to standard tuning.
@@HermitTheFraud Maybe you could pass the dare to someone. I'm not a guitarist. I'm trained as a theorist, but I like to see things develop hands-on. The alternate tunings would allow the chords to get altered without changing the fingerings. You get the idea.
Is their "new music" the album they put out most recently? I think that's their old music, no? Or did you mean you can't stand these covers? Well, either way, thank you for visiting my channel.
@@HermitTheFraud what im saying is im not a fan of the death metal stuff they put out, and i think Mike Pattons vocals are better when hes playing the avant garde type stuff. Yes its their old music but imo its sub par death metal
@@HermitTheFraud i mean i think its just average, but im not the biggest fan of death metal to begin with. I like progressive stuff and my favorite band in death metal is Death, i dont feel like the stuff mr bungle has put out is very groundbreaking
With each Bungle song you post my power grows greater
Post it! I love watching Mr. Bungle covers.
That's it for me. At least for a while.
show me people daring enough to cover Bungle with one guitar...
This guy!
bruh! awesome!!!!
I'm gonna' cry! It's exquisite!
ok, so im on a binge of your FNM/Bungle covers, but dude, that was dope as fuck
Thanks.
Like the arrangement. Really well played!!

Thanks dad.
Oh my absolute fuck
Awesome, man! Fantastic interpretation!
Very cool and proper interpretations!
Amazing man
It'd be great if you created a chord chart or tab for all us plebs... I would love to have a crack at this!!
Well done legend.

Well done, I would classify the difficulty of this piece just above Super Expert level in the Octopus Fingers level.
😀👍
Could you ever send tabs or sheets for this?
No, sorry. I already forgot how to play it.

these covers are a perfect example of why i cant stand their new music

@Harmon Dushane That's what I assumed but thanks for clarifying. I also prefer the singier stuff but "sub par death metal"? How dare you?
