- The valuations apply to the sets - which would have been in the photo if there were a way to fit them all onto the layout (and into the shot).
Prosperity boxed set with set box 100,000
Boucher 4 car set (best set of cars known) 100,000
Marklin freight set 75,000
1930 Olympian boxed set with set box 125,000
(one of two best sets known)
Mayflower boxed set with set box 150,000
(one of two best sets known)
Lionel 408E Green boxed set with set box 200,000
(one of two known ivory trim locos - only ivory trim loco set with boxes)
IVES White 1132 set (only white loco, only white 184 series cars) 200,000
Dorfan set 50,000
(only known red trim Florida loco and red trim Florida cars)
IVES Milk Car 15,000
TOTAL 1,015,000
Several of the numbers above are actually less than what John has been offered over the years ( White IVES, 408E, Boucher), but they're what John considers real figures. We at TM agree. - Zábava
Good thing standard gauge was built tough enough to handle incidents of this nature.
From priceless to worthless in one heart-stopping moment.
This is why I run my trains as originally intended as toys and repair/replace along the way instead of keeping them pristine as collector's items, 'cause this sort of thing inevitably is going to happen and I'm only going to live once.
I can't imagine the set lost more than $1000 of value
Luckily, no one was hurt
Except the people who died on that crash
Takara The train your not so dark for me
._.
This comment literally made me laugh out loud.
XD
Ew. Deviantart OC
You're absolutely right. Just trying to have a little fun. The set that was actually in the photo was a red and cream Dorfan Florida Limited.
1:05 - End
(Insert "Oh No!!" joke here)
Yeah. "Oh-No!"
I was testing a new test track with a Lionel 2-4-2 last month and somebody flipped a switch that led to a unfinished part of the line, and the loco ran off at full speed, luckily there was no major damage even though it ran off a 4 foot high counter at full speed and hit a cement floor, now that's quality
A million dollars for toy trains, the people that made these could have never imagened what they would be worth today. amazing!
I feel so bad
Oh No!!!
Insert “oh no!
Except $1 million train it's sad it really is😢
The set that fell off the track (unless I am missing something) is a rather ordinary Ives 3241 with a few Ives freight cars! The set is not worth a great deal and I suspect this was a set-up shot to have a little fun! Don't be too concerned!
Opps! Hopefully no major damage.
that train set was like 100 years old
1:04 it was at this moment the train knew, it fucked up
Press F to pay respects.
I, too, enjoying running my trains! Here are some essentially like new sets (the Lionel Sets are mine and the Ives 3245R) that i ran a couple years ago after the Pasadena Cal-Stewart meet. I specialize in sets that are in like new condition, and many with original boxes. These were being run on a friends layout.
1:04 Oh No!!
that must be really depressing.
OOF
if this wasn't a skit, its only a $135.00 loss in its condition. i just looked it up. the nice thing is that sometimes these trains can take a fall like that and continue on. the new plastic trains we have today will just explode (not really.)
I went to this gentleman's house today, it was not a skit. Just happened to be recording at tge right time
i had a plastic ho scale engine fall of the table and it the shell exploded
I literally gasped at that derailment
Rip rarity
And there went😂😂😂😂
The marklin standard gauge locamotive looks like British locamotive
1:04 And then there was *TROUBLE*
that looks like a skit for I Love Toy Trains!............OH NO..
I have deep repressed memrories of that vhs, i think it made me who i am today
Well after the train ran off the track and hit the floor, can i get it for a few bucks??? :)
Hi, this is Dr. Martin Folb from Los Angeles. The 8 trains mentioned here are extremely valuable, but certainly not worth a million dollars!! More likely, around $300-$400,000, and in today’s market that would be a push! I paid $253,000 for what is the finest Standard Gauge set in the World: a special order, boxed Lionel 20th Century Limited in near mint condition with the only known #433 Set Box (that as the set number for this set).
Ouch
No "Oh No!!" ?
Too fast! YAEE
Eh, it was built in in America it’s fine
Apparently, CZcams does not allow you to post hyperlinks to other videos . You can find it by searching for: "Train Night at Dave's Road Trip 11-19-10" Enjoy it!
LoL!!! The end is so funny!!!
I am sure the owner of that train put a permanent stain in his shorts....
It probably would've been fine if the rails weren't so rickedy and you didn't go full throttle like an idiot
oops
Just saying you should of ran that train alot slower that wouldn't of happoned an you would of had this train with no damage to this say that the problem with alot of train collectors they run there trains way to fast then they can't figure why somthing happons to theme when it does it is always good to keep the transformer set at medium speed an never run any train that fast especially one that old an the valuable thank you.
?
The way the motors worked no matter how fast it went this would of happened because old motors plus gravity equals disaster
Those things are so light plus the track was old
1:05 Me: Holy S###IT!!!
Oh no
damn
Poop
