Kathmandu Nepal To Nyalam Tibet

Drive on the Arniko Highway from Kathmandu to the border at Kodari, cross the Friendship Bridge, drive up to Zhangmu and then on to Nyalam. I walk down the Nyalam main street and visit the school and Nyalam Gompa. In the morning, I watch the sunrise on Nyanang Ri, Pungpa Ri and Shishapangma, before driving out of Nyalam,

The video was shot in October and obviously the streets and surrounding local countryside are snow free. Does any one know what it is like in November. Is the Road always open or is it closed for a few months? TY

It is not a long distance, but the road to the border in Nepal is typically not overly good, and there are usually huge traffic jams in the Tibet side of the border in Zhangmu. So, expect a full day

How about a supermarket, or store? How is it for provisions such as food. What about a garage for fuel?
