    You're the first person I've seen put the product directly on the hair and brush through to make sure it's REALLY saturated. I'm going to try this next time. Great tips!

    • @livelovely4681
      @livelovely4681 Před 3 lety

      It's because this is done on shampooed hair with no conditioner or products in it. Dangerous to detangle on naked hair. If you put a shower cap on it will saturate.

    Great demo, only thing I have to add is that it becomes ineffectant when it dries. So when you do these treatments wear a cap or plastic bag on your head to keep the product working for as long as possible.

I've actually gotten compliments on the scarf look! 😂 The cap prevents the Olaplex from getting on stuff, like my mat at the gym, and drying out,(which I believe stops the process), and the scarf/hat provides a bit of warmth to allow it to penetrate. I would say it doesn't hurt to start using it before you dye your hair because it will strengthen your hair. Hope that helps and good luck on going blonde!! :)

      Thanks and yes I’ve heard this as well! It also makes sense because I’ve learned that leaving any type of conditioning treatment on the hair for longer than what’s recommended on the bottle can cause damage and over treated hair. Conditioners are made to use for a set time. Only products specifically formulated as leave-in should be left in the hair.

      Okay, that is what I thought. This does help. I appreciate your reply. I do wonder this too... if it is repairing the structure of the hair, why will I have to keep doing the treatments every week or whatever schedule I choose?

    • @GleamyGleamyGlamGlam
      @GleamyGleamyGlamGlam  Před 5 lety +4

      I'm glad. :) I get that. . . Based on their website it's because keeping your healthy is a constant thing and I'm assuming because your hair is constantly growing and we are constantly doing stuff to it. But, for me, I use it once a week because as my color is growing out, I want it to stay healthy and I also flat iron my hair once a month . . . But, I would say, do what works best for you and your hair and if you do not need it as often, that's great. .. I hope I can get there. lol :)

    • @joannwilliams4801
      @joannwilliams4801 Před 5 lety +1

      You're exactly right. I found it on their website. Even virgin hair sleeps on a pillowcase and that can even do some damage. Chemical processes, of course, do damage, as well as hot tool styling. I texted my stylist and she says that she sometimes uses the product in with bleach when highlighting hair to help prevent as much damage. I'll be olaplexing for life. Ha! Thanks for the great video and the feedback too.

    Hi. I just watched your video. I have severely dry brittle hair from using a mixture of knock off essential oils. I'm from St. Lucia and I looked around and there's no stylist here who uses Olaplex. I guess it's because ed of the price. I was thinking I can purchase of myself on the website and bring it to a salon here and they could apply it for me. But I wanted the entire treatment. Can you please direct me to the website and help me find a guide to show a professional so they know how to go about doing it?

    • @renamodeste1657
      @renamodeste1657 Před 3 lety +1

      I want to try the entire treatment because my hair is very damaged. It's been that way for 5 month now and I've tried everything but nothing works (protien treatments, cherry lola, deep conditioners, cutting it etc). I cut off my relaxed ends because it was very long. I took a short cut, but the natural hair is lifeless and sooo dry. I lost my curl pattern. It's a small island and there are some professionals but I haven't come across one who really has had experience in treating extremely damaged hair and none of them offer the olaplex treatment.
