- The Queen delivered her annual Christmas Day message where she stated that even though this year has ‘necessarily’ kept people apart, it has ‘in many ways brought us closer.’
Her Majesty also thanked young people for the part they have played in combatting Covid-19.

Say what you may haters, but there's something so graceful and utterly dignified about the Queen that I just can't but admire. As a Canadian born into a military family, we have great respect for the royal family, my 60 plus years having watched HRH on Christmas is a tradition. Love the royal family.

Respectfully, if I may say this, but truly, this is the finest Christmas speech that I've ever heard Queen Elizabeth give!!
This particular speech is so very important with meaning, valuable for all of us to hear.
The Queen's message here, is intended to promote the season's Christmas peace, and unity of all believers, and hope for the year to come.
I was astounded at how beautifully, yet boldly, she proclaimed about the true meaning of Christmas, which is the birth of Christ.
Please, let's keep the Queen, and the royal family in our prayers, that they would be strengthened, and encouraged to push forward, from all of the year's events that certainly must have been draining for them, and putting a strain on their lives in general.

We all need wise leaders to say kind words and to give us strength in this dark times. Brazil (where I'm from) unfortunately does not have a good leader right now. I just said the Queen's speech was wise and that in Brazil we have a president who isn't AT ALL democratic and doesn't even care about our lives or even makes kind speeches. So I found comfort in the Queen's speech and there is nothing wrong with that. We are facing a very dark time and I, at least, needed to hear something different than the deaths happening in my country. And we need a little emphaty, something I believe you lack of. I too don't believe in monarchy, I believe in the State of Law.

She never worked during her entire life, never did a physical effort, so yes, she still can be strong.
Théo Morel being the sovereign of a country is no small task, you have to basically be a diplomat with a crown on. Giving speeches, going to opening ceremonies, meeting with foreign powers, dealing with the country’s issues are not as easy as it looks. Imagine you’d have to do these tasks almost everyday. It does take a toll on someone though.

She can't just abdicate, an Act of Abdication has to be drawn up by Parliament.

The Queen is the one person I would choose to sit and have a chat with if I were granted such. She has been a fine example of what putting yourself last and what’s best for others is about. She has made her Father proud.

Haven’t tuned in to Her Majesty’s Xmas message since I was younger. Glad I did. Seeing her expressing compassion and care for the people has been quite comforting and has me thinking more of loved ones who are no longer here with us. Not a Brit, but I found her you tube channel and watch her speech very year for the past 3 yrs.... She is a wonderful and absolutely amazing woman,it has showed me hope,my city has been hit by 2 hurricanes and we don’t have much to celebrate but listening to the queen somehow gives me hope........ God save the queen!!

The history of the whole world is blood and violence. You think that in other countries and continents humans sat around hugging? You think the native Americans never fought with other tribes? Humans have been fighting and killing each other for thousands of years and it has nothing to do with the English. The English are no different to other nationalities. That's life.

I have always had great affection for Queen Elizabeth, England and Scotland. I know my grandfather was born there but understood he was of Italian descent. I have found out recently that may not be true. I am an American who grew up being told I was 1\2 Italian and 1\4 Irish and a 1\4 Portuguese. Well, through DNA I have found out I am actually 26 pct Scottish, 20 pct Portuguese the rest Irish, English, French and only 7 pct Italian.
I now understand why I've always been drawn to particularly England, and Scotland. I have admired the Queen for a very long time and if there was one person in the world I would like to meet it would be her. She is an amazing woman.
