    I went on X2 with my friend during a school field trip. Ive known my friend for a long time and SFMM was his first ever theme park. He is a very quiet person so I was already excited to see his reactions. We first went on Tatsu, which was his first ever roller coaster, and surprisingly, he didnt scream in fear, he actually enjoyed it. Towards the end of the day, we went on X2. When putting on the vest restraint, he was starting to get worried as he thought it wasnt tight enought. Ride attendant came, checked 2x, said he was fine. Once we were on the lift hill, he was getting even morw worried. Then came, THE DROP, it was insane and he screamed out of actual fear! I was scared too but after hearing him scream, I kept laughing throughout the ride. Best ride experience ever!

    When I was at Kings Dominion in August, it started raining while I was waiting in line for Twisted Timbers. I closed my eyes when I got on because I knew from experience that being hit by rain on a rollercoaster can be extremely painful.
    Honestly, riding Twisted Timbers with my eyes shut was one of the scariest experiences I’ve had on any roller coaster in recent memory. Even though I was familiar with the layout (this was the fifth time I rode it that day), I couldn’t prepare myself for any of the airtime moments. Each time we got to one it felt like I was being dragged down further and further into the pits of hell.
    Kinda tempted to try it again on another ride

    I've been on the woody at Playland.
    The entire ride is crazy rough in that classic wooden roller coaster way. You really feel like you're barely staying on the track, and I distinctly remember gripping that lap bar for dear life.

    UK-based riders will likely be familiar with the insanity of Nemesis at Alton Towers, but the Zero-G roll straight out of the helix is absolutely a demonic element, brought to us by the madlad that is John Wardley. The dramatic shift in positive to negative Gs is just... bonkers.

  • @smilerpunk922
    @smilerpunk922 Před 4 lety +1

    I have to go with the smiler's first heartline roll, in the station there's just this void that the trains go into when they dispatch and inside of it is just a steep banked turn into a heartline roll in the dark with a few strobe lights, really good part of the ride

  • @m.hoffman2889

    I would also add the vertical drop in pitch black darkness of "Fluch von Novgorod"
    and the seesaw tilt element on "Winjas" spinning coaster

    If restraints could be counted as an element, I would put those hard-ass restraints on Discovery Kingdom's Kong on here. I don't know if they've changed them since I've been there, but the ones that I experienced must have been designed by Satan himself.

    Rolling Thunder was my favorite wooden coaster back in the day!! Still need to get to the parks now that there are so many new coasters...my best credit is The Big Bad Wolf, which is my favorite inverted hanging coaster. It was so tight through the Bavarian Village feeling like you were going to hit the buildings. The final drop was amazing and is everything people claimed it to be...

    I love the Staffordshire Knot on The Smiler at Alton Towers. It is exclusive to The Smiler and although you go through each section fairly far apart it can create, what is in my opinion, one of the best fuels on a coaster that I have ever experienced!

    Thanks for the love for the PNE/Playland's coaster. It's what would be considered my home park and I remember riding that thing with my dad when I was young. I made the mistake, once, of sitting on the outside of my dad. He was 200lbs or so, I was maybe 50lbs. Ouch! Gotta love the '80s! To this day I still feel like i'm going to fall out of the train and the lap bar is at least 6" from my legs! The lift hill might be even more demonic after it has aged, you don't roll up it, you float.

    lol you included one of the very few coaster i ever been on. that wooden one in vancouver is crazy. i was 11 (2005) and that was the last coaster i have been on and it was crazy to me then i thought it was far more intense than anything from claifornia disney/universal or paris france disney which had that indiana jones coaster that was destructive to the head/neck... that one was just bad the wooden one is genuinely scary but also painful would be cool to try it again being an adult

    I rode Intimidator 305 on opening day and I think I have a high tolerance because I didn't black out, but one of my family members did. It was insane and probably the best part of the ride, the airtime hill even with the hard plastic restraints was also insane.

    Honestly I believe the reason why that first drop on time traveler catches so many people off guard is because people aren’t used to just starting off a coaster plummeting down from the start. It’s a very opposite experience from what people are used to with a roller coaster starting out going up instead of down first

  • @kbeara03
    @kbeara03 Před rokem

    I’m pretty new to the big thrills, but I would say that the element that is most crazy is the hanging drop on the Griffin at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. It’s especially insane in the front row because you stay there for five whole seconds facing the ground.
