About Married with Children:
The less-than-lovable Bundys are a radical departure from the saccharine-sweet TV families popular since the days of Father Knows Best. With offbeat humor and unflinching honesty, Married... paints a more realistic picture of middle-class existence, warts and all. Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill) is a shoe salesman who is fond of frequently reliving his doubtful 15 seconds of fame on the football field. Al is terrified of the all-too-frequent amorous advances of his ditsy wife Peggy (Katey Sagal), who spends most of Al's wages at the salon and the mall. They have two teenage kids: stunning but superficial party animal Kelly (Christina Applegate) and egocentric Bud (David Faustino). Married for 16 semi-blissful years, Peggy and Al have found that the secret to a happy marriage is to accept one another's idiosyncrasies.

Little did we know at the time, lights & shoes would eventually go together and make millions. If only Al had put the lights in the heels.
✊
Is that still a thing?
Yes you are so right about that fact.
And you can almost hear Al saying he thought that up first & people laughing. 😊
@@FUCKINGENIOUS I see a few people ware glow in the dark shoes and/or shoe laces in the dark. I would get a pair if I see any for decent price.
"What about tax?"
The crushed look on Steve's face is priceless!
Priceless? I'd say it's valued at 99 cents.
"I'll just turn Kelly on."
"Then won't u be needing candy & $5?"
😂😂😂
🤡
"Is it any wonder I seek the shelter of a stranger's arms." Sums up Kelly's life perfectly.
The little laugh he does before saying shut up, Peg. So funny.
😂😂😂 it like DEMON LAUGH
Shut up, Meg. ~ Peter Griffin
@@Resist_Oppression🤡
@@Resist_Oppression yes it does
I like how Al looks in the first 3 seasons. He seems deadly serious and vicious which makes his character even better.
0:14 I LOVE the audience’s reaction to Bud’s comment
Yes
Yes this episode has plenty of classic one liners and a few other things that make this the best show ever made and I think it will be for a long time to come.
"What about tax"? 😂😂 So funny lol
Poor Kelly. She deserves a nice, big, smooshy hug. ❤🌹
I would, but I was blinded by the light and can't find her. 😛
@@chesskinge4627🤡
She gets a lot of those when she sleeps around for $5 and some candy.
@@basillah7650 True, but mine are special.
@@chesskinge4627 Me, too.
Twenty years later, shoe lights became a huge fashion trend and is still a multi million dollar industry.
yeah but do not need a huge battery on your back
@@basillah7650 A trifling technical detail that Al would no doubt have ironed out before going into mass production.
😢 Really? On What Planet Did
That Happen? ‼️💫💥😎✨🌟
@@wilneal8015 It happened on this planet. But maybe you live under a rock. Try googling "shoes with lights".
What? Where are that shoes?
WOW, in just this small 5 minute clip there are tons of quotable moments, to many to even try to post, the whole idea of the shoe lite is classic Al. Not sure it beats the shoe hotline, but it's for sure a close second place. LOL
I'm with Steve on this one. A 99c coin would've been a great idea
And tax ?
@@jcmontecarlo6123”That what those stupid said at the IRS!!”
Al told Steve what about tax😂😂😂
1 of the funniest scenes in the entire Married With Children series.
1:06: AL: "It worked! It worked! I'm going to be somebody after all!" Poor delusional Al peaked too early in high school 🏈🤣🤘
Oh God Steve don't tell them you're insane quest about the 99 cent coin 🤣🤣
1:32 - I love Peggy's freak out.
🤡
That's funny that AL's version of being rich is being at Burger King sucking down Whoppers... Mmmm, whoppers are good. 🤤
This episode was made back when Whoppers used to be delicious. Now Burger King it’s barely above cafeteria food.
Whoppers have jumped way up in price since this was filmed. Even moreso in California where the starting wage for fast-food workers is $20, unless it's at Gov.Gruesome's restaurrant, then it's $16.
@@Colorado_Native the last time I ate whoppers more than maybe twice a year, whoppers were 2 whoppers for $6… They want almost $8 for one now! I mean, even the humble Whopper Junior isn’t even the size of a hockey puck hardly anymore… ☹️
@@oxygon2850 Thanks for the reply. I responded to the survey on my receipt for a free Whopper. It cost me $6.66 for the fries and drink to redeem my code for the 'free' sandwich.
Al was years ahead of his time with this prototype. Bud and Peg should have whoa'ed.
A more modern version was featured on Shark Tank
@@JSolar590🤡
but the battery on the back ruined it
I love this channel I love married with children one of the best sitcoms❤❤❤ my favorite episode is when they went to the restaurant and couldn't pay how many of us had a similar experiences😂
The tears in Steve's eyes
If only Kelly hadn’t stepped into that fountain.
The man and his shoe lights. 😹👍
Wow! Christina Applegate is looking very beautiful and gorgeous in her blonde hair! 😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤
Ohh and Kelly hurry home, we gotta start the car lol 😂 she has the car battery strapped to her back lmfao 🤣🤣🤣🤣
If only al filed a patent on that shoes.
🤡
3. "I'll just turn Kelly on"
And bud's comeback!!!😂😂😂✡️🕎🇮🇱
Seasons 3 and 4 were the best ones
Go Al!
I'm all honesty, a 99 cent coin is pretty genius. Especially coming from Steve
What about those places that price their stuff at $xx.98?
A 98 cent coin, obviously.
Come to think of it, why does everybody price things at $x.99, and not just a solid, round number?
@@Morgil27
It comes down to taxes. You pay less taxes on 9.99 than you would on 10 bucks.
Personally, I don't think a dollar less on taxes is worth the complication. I prefer prices to be nice round numbers.
@JanetStarChild But taxes are just a percentage. Who friggin cares what the difference is between 5% of $10 vs 5% of $9.99?
Burger King, filed Chapter 11, this year so Al, would likely have several "private tables" to himself lmfao
The best part was when Steve boasted that he invented the 99 cent coin, which Al rained on his parade by saying “What about tax?”
At the end of Kellys tirade, shes like "No wonder I seek the comfort of a strangers arms." 🤣😝😝😝
Thanks alot mom. Was there no one else you could marry??😂 My oldest daughter told me that 🤣🤣
Al Bundy, visionary, inventor of golden "God's Shoes" in one episode. Concept borrowed by Flump very recently and applied to sneakers. Genius meets genius. 😊
Lol I saw this episode last Saturday
BUD&AL BUNDY PEGGY & KELLY 💯 out of 💯 approval and approved by BRAD
The shoe lights episode is one that sticks in my mind all these years later.
For those of you that were not born when this episode was produced, I just wanna make it clear... Yes we did have small batteries in the 1990's, in fact I believe the A battery was invented in the early 1800's, AA in the late 1800's and AAA battery in 1911. And the flashlight was invented in 1899 🙂
What about Delaware they don’t have tax on items that you buy in the store.
😮And They Don't Charge You With Federal Crimes For Storing
Top Secret Papers in Your 'Vette In Your Garage😊‼️🤔🤡🦃💔
30 years later lights everywhere, thanks to LED and battery technology ❤

My kids crocs now does have some lights.
Was this the first "whooooah Bundy"?
'Nobody whoooa'd.' 😅😂
What year did the light up shoes come out?
I remember seeing light up slippers. Maybe Al Bundys invention was produced, but didn't take off.
😂😂😂😂
So this is where the latest shoe idea came from for LA gear
What about tax?
"99 cents" is d 1st bitcoin idea
Perfect
Ahead of his time. Then those light-reflecting shoes were invented...
If only Shark Tank was around back then….
How Nike got their start.
Somehow, we gotta get Bundy elected to congress......
