Lake worth, Texas is absolutely over run with gar specifically the entrance to the nature center. Me and my buddy were bass fishin up in the creek that runs along the nature center and we came up on an area where it widened out and dropped from 5 foot down to about 15 foot deep and I saw the most gar I've ever seen in my life rolling and also some gar that had to be 5 foot+

We just shoot the Oneida shelf rest. No this was out of lafitte
Muzzy arrows, and Gargod shelf rest or Onieda shelf rest are what we prefer

Do you guys like to fish carp? I never see airboats in south Dakota but our lakes are flooded with carp. We fish them from shore but man it would be a run to do it out of a boat.
A good friend of ours lives in SD, he killed an absurd amount of carp out out of an airboat.

What lb draw do you all use wondering do you the amount of pull outs could just be do to the speed of the boat as well only ever done it from the bank or canoe but I've only ever had a couple pull outs that said I've only ever shot commons and tench with a 60lb recurve wondering if penetration was a issue love the videos by the way expert marksmanship wish I had met up with y'all while I was down there could a told you where a 300lb gar lived seen him every time I went down to where that bayou an that creek met right next to Morgan city
What line do you guys prefer to shoot out of the spinner type reels?
We shoot a lot of fast flight line, really like it.

Trying to get a kicker going, tired of the trolling motor. My sons have never shot off a kicker. They keep me from getting old too quick and to see the vids man help me get my butt in gear to get finished.

What type of reels do you use or prefer?
I’m trying to start bow fishing Texas but I don’t know any good spots I go to Lake tawakoni and I have a boat where do I go or is tawakoni not a good lake for bow fishing
Man you need to look for flats, onx maps and google earth is a good place to scout from your phone.

Tbh this water looks a whole lot like the brackish water swamps we have here in Maryland in the Chesapeake bay. But only got reds in the south part of the bay down by Virginia. Snakehead , on the other hand, are in every tributary in the bay and absolute blast to bowfish and amazing table fare
