RHUMBA JAPANI LYRICS
When I get sober
I'll get my act together
I will put my life in order
No longer be a victim of the devil on my shoulder
Lord knows I've been lost for way too long I'm getting older
Na muda unayoyoma aisee
Niko maji niko maji niko maji niko maaji
Niko maji niko maji niko maji niko maaji
I'll call my mama
And tell her that I'm sorry for the lies and pain I caused her
Tell her that I never meant to turn out like my father
Lord knows that she's cried too many tears for all my drama
Naomba unisamehe mathe
Niko maji niko maji niko maji niko maaji
Niko maji niko maji niko maji niko maaji
I call my daughter and listen to the stories of a guy that she called father
I hope I get the courage to say sorry to her mother
Lord knows that she tried to make it work I pray the karma,
The karma will be easy on me
Niko maji niko maji niko maji niko maaji
Niko maji niko maji niko maji niko maaji
When I get sober
I'll look for all my friends and make amends
Drink more water
Find somebody new to love again
Feels like it's over
Lord knows that I need another chance to start all over
Na Misiri sirudi kamwe
When I get sober
I'll get my act together
I will put my life in order
No longer be a victim of the devil on my shoulder
Lord knows I've been lost for way too long
I'm getting older
Na muda unayoyoma aisee
Niko maji niko maji niko maji niko maaji
Niko maji niko maji niko maji niko maaji

I view this song in a different perspective from y’all...sober not necessarily recovering from alcohol( as majority say here) but sober in terms of recovering from life challenges that we all go through may it depression, break ups, sudden drift from friends and family, that alone journey that affects our life and how we relate with others but seeing light at the end of the tunnel...a second chance in life.
I really wish my dad could hear this....I know it's not his fault but meeeeeehhnnnn it really hurts to go and pick your dad kwa mtaro kila time😭😭😭😭😭😭
As someone from a family where alcohol has brought a lot of destruction, this song cuts deep. Thank you Sauti Sol ❤️❤️
Hope my hubby happens to hear this someday and change...that's my prayer
Dad never got to say sorry to his mum, wife or daughter coz he never got sobber. This song hits me deep and moves me to tears

I never ment to turn out like my father 😥😥😥
I am currently struggling with alcoholism . I was three weeks sober until yesterday when I slipped again. I made a decision to quit drinking three weeks ago as it took a toll on my relationship . I am one day sober and i hope that it’ll turn into many more days .
I don't have a drug problem but this song makes me wanna become a better person
This song resonates with anyone who needs to refrain from a destructive habit...
