Got 2, 7.3 td and 2 5.9 Cummins... I wish I can get a newer truck... But I will be in debt and... Being real with me... I couldn't fix a newer truck... My 2003 5.9 Cummins is my limit haha if I get a newer truck not only I will be in debt but the repair cost will be way higher and probably at some level it wouldn't be fixed by me... So way way more costly to have something newer. Even my wife's car is early 2000s so I can work on it and fix it

I just traded my 2019 Ram 3500 Limited Cummins for a 2020 Platinum Powerstroke. I love how the ford drives. It’s light years beyond the “5th gen” Rams! However, the Ram has a far superior interior.
How can you hate one whole manufacture of a diesel truck? So self centered, cummins powerstroke and duramax are all great, powerstroke is just the best

Nice video. You could buy a single cab long bed 7.3 and convert it. I like the newer trucks but I still love the older stuff. There just simpler. Personally what’s your opinion on p-pump 24 valve? I know you had one but no one else had really done that swap that I’ve seen much.

I’m a Ram fanboy as I was a Cummins master tech for 15 years. I’ve owned 9 Dogge trucks from 94 to my now current 2017. I have a 19 F250 Powerstroke XLT for my work truck. I love it, I believe the interior is so dated being it’s been out since 15. Ram has them drug in interior. Other than that. The PS 6.7 runs great, quiet, and has great power. I would just hate to have to work on it when it’s gets some age on it. Coming as a diesel mechanic. That Ford 6.7 is complex and will not be cheap to repair once out of warranty. Specially since your pulling the cab for anything major. End of the day. Looks wise on exterior. Super Duty all the way. The sport version with the now led black out lights. Just trumps the new Ram.

If you are still looking for a 7.3, I just listed my 2000 Ford F350 for sale on Cargurus. Put in Cargurus search engine 2000 Ford F350 and look for the two tone white truck located in Dover FL. I spent the last year and half building the truck. It's one of the few trucks left out there in this condition. Limited on the amount of photos I can post on there but I can send you more photos or video if interested. Would like to see it go to a good home.

It's easy to love the comfort and tightness of a new truck. Now regardless if it be a Ford, Dodge, GM, whatever. When these newer trucks break anywhere in the engine or drive-train it quickly becomes a hate relationship. A Turbo, injectors, fuel pump, DEF system, anything really, the parts are obscene in cost when they start to break.
Dragon Steel You could put a crate engine in almost any standard passenger car for what normal parts cost on these Diesels. It’s crazy. I still own one cause I can fix it myself. Parts are rediculous though.
chad six yup. Done my work on my truck and it’s cost me about $4k in parts to get running right. Could’ve had my oldie in a body shop getting all the rust off with some nice paint and done the whole interior on the thing for what I’ve spent.
Well before you say ANYTHING about a 6.0 you should drive one👌🏻

The 17+ 6.7 superduty will eat all rams all day long. The rams trans cannot take added power over time. I will put my 19 f250 up against any new ram in any circumstance. These new superdutys love hp and there trans love power!!!
Nick Schaefer and the new 10 spd in the 2020 is awesome. All Ram really has is the screen. Which you can get for these super duty’s now.
The older Ford I would get would be a 1997 Ford regular cab 7.3, I would also get a 6.4 just becouse I know a shop where I can go to get it deleted and bullet proof, but I know not everyone has that ability to get a vehicle worked on for a lot cheaper than normal.
Nicholas Hartsock you can bullet proof a 6.4 and it still will come apart. I’ve been in shops and saw nothing but them. 6.0 is the better choice.
@@dillpill4484 I don't know about you but my uncle is in the nation guards and uses his 6.4 to go to his drills and stuff he has to do in the winter, that thing has almost 500,000 miles on it and has had no issues after deleting and bullet proofing it, now you tell me again they are a piece of junk, they will run as good as you treat them.

I own a 24 valve Cummins and didn’t think I would ever buy a ford but my brother bought a 11 powerstroke and my dad bought a 17 powerstroke and for some reason there’s a 13 king ranch powerstroke in our driveway and my bank says I Own it weird right oh well guess I’ll just make the payment lol awesome video.
The 5th gens are nice but it seems like ram kinda forgot that trucks are built more for work and not luxury.

I hate them too. Here is why that curve at the window is weird so uncomfortable. I like that spot flat. I know it's petty but if i spend the money i want it too be comfortable to drive.

I am just not a ford fan, 7.3s- shitty slow leakers, 6.0- explode and expensive, 6.4-explode and expensive 6.7- finally a good reliable motor at this point. I’m not a fan of early fords but the newer ones are really nice the only thing is they are so hard to work on in my opinion.

My 7.3 has nothing but exhaust and a hydra and it's definitely not slow anymore with 2 simple mods. The 6.0 is a badass motor if you do some basic preventative mods and maintain it like you should anyway. You sound like the type that reads a few articles and suddenly you have an opinion on each motor.
SoCali7three Hahha nope, I can count probably 7 of my friends that have owned or so own 6.0 trucks and 5 of them have been rebuilt or have major failures that have cost over 5-7k just to get it drivable. If you need to put that much into a truck to make it drive it’s not worth it they are junk.

If 5 out of the 7 have had catastrophic failures then they either aren’t maintaining it right or are driving the absolute shit out of it.

@@ParoDoXzYou probably know this but I though if you didnt I could help you out, in OBS world f150s have smaller frame thickness and height of frame, first gen lightning have f250 frame factory cut to reg cab short box length. CC F250 ONLY have short boxes and CC F350s only have long boxes F250s have TTB Dana 50 and F350s have solid Dana 60. Party on boys and keep them vids coming!

This dude is like stuck in the 90s. Like surprised about so many of the amenities like the “360 camera” and the massaging seats. So much of this stuff is like no big deal we’re in 2020. He’s like a “I got power steering and door locks and windows” kinda guy. I think he would love even a new ram. I’m a ford guy, but I know he’s a ram guy so that would fit him. He would love a new truck loaded out.
The new trucks that are "fully loaded" like this one are for soyboys. If you want a real, well built, reliable work truck, get a Chevy or GMC. Love mine, its simple and not too many bells and whistles, and she's built solid.

My work use to have a contract with ford a few years ago, but they kept having reliability problems with codes popping up, a few trucks had rod knock, and countless transmission problems as well as bed damage within a few months of use! GM makes the best quality trucks out now, and I bet you've never driven one. Most people talk shit about a truck brand when they've never driven it 😂 Before I picked up my Silverado 1500, I went and looked at Ford and Ram, and the Ford by far had the cheapest quality interior materials and non responsive infotainment system. As of the aluminum, I laughed right in front of the salesman when I could push the side of the truck box in with my hand, proving him that aluminum is crap on a truck. Most of you yuppy, soccer mom's drive fords anyways. Real men who wanna do work drive a Chev 💪

I've seen Fords have countless issues, especially my Uncle's 2017 Superduty he had. He made the smart dicision to trade it in for a Chevy
