    Hello . I know this video is old. But how can I set the laser to my zero. I have this Pard 007 for more than a year and I have looked for how to configure the laser and I could not. I saw a video out there that being set to my zero it helps me estimate distance, it marks the point of impact of my shot. Can you help me? Thank you, greetings.

      A very small allen key adjusts horizontal and vertical on the Red laser

    Don't you normally need to 3 to 4 inches eye relief on your standard scope anyway and that you have your eye right up to the Pard 007?

    If you use your scope in daylight like I do without the pard , its best to set your ocular focus first ......reason being is when you use your scope in normal day shooting without pard conected , it will be still in focus , if you wind ocular alll the way in , its out of focus for normal day shooting without pard conected ..........its easy to adjust pard focus when in use .

      You mean the diopter? Once the Pard is on the scope you cannot get to the diopter and, as he says in the video, you are pretty much stuck with whatever setting you had on the scope before attachment.

      @@paulcatanach8031 There is a diopter ring on the Pard. Use that to get the focus.

      @@ukzero1pete Thanks Pete, I've been using that but it's not great either. I've upgraded the scope now and will see how that goes next time I'm out.

      @@paulcatanach8031 Don't forget that just under the unit, there is another part that you can turn to get the focus, a sort of fine tune.

    So basically its no good for stalking.. or hand holding ? Its for rest shooting bipod etc , with stock extension

      It's not practical for stalking buddy, for me doing static vermin control or shooting off the truck its bang on but I wouldn't sling it over my back and stomp up a hill..

      It's fine for walking, I walk with gun slung over the right shoulder, pard attached and an extra Ir light, quad sticks in left hand, an extra "gun safety strap" from best fox call works wonders to keep gun secure to the back allowing you to climb gates etc no probs. Night fox cub with an extra ir and a neck lanyard for spotting. Thermal would be better and a utility vehicle but you do what you can afford. It's a quiet way of looking for the fox anyway.

    Great review mate, would this unit be ok on a sightron s3? I have been made to believe that this type of unit works better with the cheaper scopes such as the hawkes mtc etc thanks.

      Works great on the Nikko-Sterling Mountmaster. Mine is the 4-12x50 (42mm mount will be needed for the scope).

    Is it compatible with another ir?

    • @paulcatanach8031
      @paulcatanach8031 Před 5 lety +1

      Yes, but you won't need one. I was suspicious that the IR on the unit was too small and so attached my Ledray 800 with IR pill. I needn't have bothered, I see eye shine through the Pard well out beyond 250 yards. 99.9% of the time I use it on IR setting '1' and only occasionally go to '2' or '3' if I want to see if it's worth my while walking over that far.
