How To Service Your Crank Bros. Stamp Pedals

- A quiet bike is a happy bike...and makes for an even happier ride. But inevitably, creaks are going develop from your bottom bracket, chainring, cassette, derailleur, pivot points, etc. Sometimes finding the source of that annoying noise isn't easy, but once you find it, eliminating that noise can make your bike feel somewhat new again.
This time around, it turned out to be my pedal. I love my Crank Bros. Stap 7 pedals (they're the best pedals I've ever used), but a creek did develop on both of them. Not to worry, as I was able to get rid of the noise in a short amount of time...it was EASY!

I chased some clicking noises my bike was making for months. I tried everything- changed pedals, replaced bottom bracket, checked stem bolts, crank arm to BB joint, etc. Finally found and fixed the problem- all I had to do was put some grease on the seat post! Arrrgh!
That roll and rock gold lube was done in a resent scientific test on wear and came out to be one of the worse for gouding through a steel bar! Muc off won by a mile with the hair line wear on the same test it was put through a test of the 10 best lubes gold was the 10th and ment to be the best! I stopped using it and switched to muc off
I'll give this a try! Currently experiencing a metallic "ping" coming from my left pedal, must be that aluminum plate.
My stamp 7 started making noises after only 2 months. For me, this is not acceptable. That’s why I have returned them.
