Well done Amsie, a good price , particularly with the aero wheels. Your smile to the camera on the test drive was very funny. The carburettor is brilliant. Best wishes mark
Have all ways loved the catch phrase, Reminds me of a rainy day tire blow out and a sixty mph slide along the center median along highway 205.Ended up with the side of my van covered in cabbage. lol.
Sweet 9000! Congrats! I have a '97 Saab 9000 CSE 2.3 Turbo. My Wife has a '94 Saab 900 SE 2.0 Turbo. Very few natives can keep up with us on the road. Just spent a small fortune on both to keep them going. But hey, gotta keep 'em outta the cabbage! Saab Turbo Forever!
I love your passion for "real" Saab models. The GM connection was a horrible mistake. I have had a few Saab myself, 96 V4 and the jewel in the crown, a 900 Aero. Loved them and I'm sorry they are gone now. Love your show, keep up the good work!
"... the last great car Saab ever made." - hard to disagree with that statement. :) Congrats on the new 9000, which I guess is a 2.3 "full pressure" turbo, that would make around 200hp at the wheels. Nice way to discover 4cyl turbo engines.
Shirts are awesome. You stole that Saab, that was a good deal. you need some land out in the country, put up a big pole barn to keep and display your cars.
Cool channel! I just picked up a 1993 9000 aero manual with 140k miles for $1000. Felt pretty good about it until I saw you got this car for 300, damn!
Great shirt and the Weber is an amazing gift! You are definitely appreciated. When I saw "new Saab" I was thinking 2-stroke, but that car sure looks good and was a very good deal. The 2-stroke will come with time. :-) Always love the videos!
Damn, makes me want to get motivated and stuff the motor back into my 94 9000 aero. Your channel is awesome. I also just turned 260,000 mile on my 03 9-5 aero 5 spd wagon and it still runs fantastic and looks good. Sure good to see people keeping the old Saabs on the road yet. The 9000 is still my favorite car.
hey amesie, glad you liked the shirts. you put your time into making these videos and i figured i could give some of mine and give back a little. keep up the good work
Have a 9000CS from '92 that I'm currently in the process of restoring. Have another one CC from 91 that I keep as a beater and has over 500k kilometers. Engine still going. I love these cars.
Před 8 lety+1
You're in Plaistow? Wow, that's near me...in London. Good video as ever.
Hey man your channel is really heading in the right direction doing great! Keep up the good old videos! I told some car lovers at work about your channel as well. GOOD STUFF!!!!
Hi Amesie,,Have you ever had any dealings with a 99 turbo with water injection? yeah I agree great looking tee shirt..Best Saab ever in my book 900 8v three door,,,from the late 80s regards
Come on ya cabbage lovers in the Northeast, we gotta help our bro with some space. If you were in the Nashville, TN area, I could park all the cars you'd want. :D
Really nice video as usual, pleased your going to be back in a 9000 again. I remember watching a video about the unique way the rear wings, (fenders) are attached on the 96. This could be a nice video for you to make.
Awesome find man. I can also agree with your statement that that 9000's were the last great Saabs made. The 9-5's that were made prior to 2006 aren't that bad though. After 2006 when they GM-ified the crap out of the 9-5's interior I just didn't see the appeal anymore. The quality just isn't there in the 2003 and newer 9-3's either. I've seen way too many of those with their interiors peeling and falling apart. You just don't see problems like that in the pre-GM and even early GM era Saabs.
Amazing. I'd have done that in a second. I'm so looking for a real 900 (non GM). So wish I still had my old 89. Keep up the great work! (Fellow New Englander here)
Ps. here in Montreal Québec there is a mint 2007 9-5 aero 2.3t with ...26,000km. always been in a garage. pfuu over $10.000 cad its on kijiji a steel!!!
That weber carb and a custom header she'll be a screamer! You'll probably have to look into updating the ignition system sooner or later.. What's your PO box?
I came here from Mustie. Im hooked. Can you please explain the love for Euro cars? I know Mustie loves his VWs, and I see you're well into your Saabs. Im curious.
If you are interested in flipping the '97 9000, I would consider buying it! The one in the video, is it a 1998? My rusty '89 900 won't make it through next winter.
Loving this one thanks for sharing this very important information giving thanks keep up the good work just wondering how much do you sell the saabs please let me know
I almost believe that you can swap out the heater core on this car without removing the dash. Most Volvos have access from underneath the drivers floorboard. Not entirely sure on that but maybe so
You can indeed, I've done it on my 9000. Removing the heater blower is a slight pain if the car has AC, but take your time with it and it can be done without too much of a hassle. edit: you can access the core from the engine compartment btw
Cool shirt - I want one. Can a man have TOO many SAABS? Just tell your landlord that you are making a little bit of Sweden in the yard. As I said before - those turbos - dealers cars.
300 bucks! SCORE! and now your getting another one?! CHRIST! You really have the sickness. It's OK, :( I understand. Wow, this whole day was like Christmas.
Hello Amesie. I dunno whether I am generating more trouble with your (number of) cars, but there's a yellow Mk III Sonett for sale (500 bucks) by a Saab guy I know, in USA... Look up SAABKID in FB, if you are interested.
hi there I love your show I got myself a saab 1998 93 convertible like for $800 and everybody laughs at me for buying it so what can I do to make it go fast ?
The Super Aero wheels alone are worth $300 - you got a great deal!
great score, and shirts,
You're going to own every Saab in the northeast pretty soon! Those mail calls were awesome. Super cool stuff!
You can never have too many old SAABs
Well done Amsie, a good price , particularly with the aero wheels. Your smile to the camera on the test drive was very funny. The carburettor is brilliant. Best wishes mark

It astounds me that a car with that few miles is worth that kinda money, but I guess cars back east eh?
Do you know the future of Saab? I read that the next generation of Saabs will be all electric.
