📍WA SHAN OLD MILITARY ROAD: Mini Great Wall of HK
This place is an old military road and its just a road from the start to the finishing point. You can see the views of both HK (including Kwan Tei, Ping Che) and Lowu of Mainland China will come to the eyes . This 5.1 Km walk was quite strenuous as there are many ups and down steep slopes one after another. Total upward height is 226 M while down ward slope is 219 M, although the total height is only 146 M.
It is worth going there because the view is scenic, some special objects can be seen such as A stone slab from Tsing Dynasty and a Resting cottage, the Army shooting range, voluntary Regiment’s badge.
Because this hiking trail is within the gun practicing range, planning before hand to avoid conflict with the scheduled shooting practice sessions of the Army.
The walk will end at Ping Che Road near the The HK Baptist Assembly, by taking minibus back to Fanling or Sheung Shui.
