To be fair, at max aura damage it could just up B the entire distance, so that would've been a success either way

I might rule that characters become grey if they require something before the actual attempt (ie: Kirby shulk, or high damage) but not during (like young/toon link and snake).
Well the shorter links have wall jumps so :/
Technically you could just keep damaging yourself with the bombs to gain infinite damage
Damage caps at 999.9% though
Yeah, like I consider Link, Bowser Jr., & Duck Hunt's (or even Peach)'s attempts to be more "valid" than Kirby since you could damage yourself with remote bombs / mecha Koopa / can until your damage is high enough, while Kirby *needs* to have monado before falling in
Man, Snake _really_ struggled for it, but goddamnit he got out of the pit!
You should already have Snake in the success category at the start of these since his recovery is technically infinite
I find it amusing that none of the innately winged characters succeeded without resorting to damage boosting.
The fact most of them don't even get past the fourth level
also the percentage of zelda characters succeeding shows that nintendo thinks zelda is the shit

If anything I think this is an interesting case for why Wall jump should be a universal mechanic. Wall Cling can still be unique but having access to wall jump is just such a boon to recovery mix ups that it feels like the characters who have it are at a big advantage when recovering.

I really appreciate you adapting to viewer feedback on stuff like byleth up b, hero zoom etc.
Imagine being Pit and not making a PIT jump (no offense to Pit main)
Honestly, I think Inkling could go a little higher (if not, even escape entirely) if you also used her roller jump which can be used even after using her double jump.
A few questions.
1. Why do peach and daisy get a bob omb when the ones that they pluck don't damage them in ultimate?
2. Did you know that squirtle can wall cling? I think of you use the wall cling he might get a bit higher.
How would wall clinging make you go higher?
@@ericgreen6829 With a wall cling you can jump while clinging to the wall without using your double jump.
they get damaged by them (at least if they let them explode in their hands) I plucked the bomb out for this video.

Gonna throw a few tips/bits of info in here:
- Duck Hunt Duo and Joker can both wall jump, this may have allowed Joker to get closer to the ledge with Arséne
- It seems like you missed Charizard's second air jump
- Bowser Jr. gains a slight bit of height if he Side B's into a wall, however, this most likely won't be enough to escape
- Doing Terry's true input for his Rising Tackle actually causes it to go slightly higher
- The ledges on this stage cause tether issues, when two materials are on top of each other (Such as the grass and the dirt here) any character who's got a tether Up B will have their tether snap before they can pull themselves in. This can be easily avoided by making the stage out of one solid object (My suggestion would be the grass)

There's a tech that could bring joker closer to the top. Jump once, wall jump, gun dash to the other wall, double jump, wall jump again, and then up b. Maybe not a total success, but def higher than three

I always forget about Jigglypuff shield break, it caught me off-guard. 🤣
Then I have a suggestion: when Sonic passes a challenge I think would be neat is cheering changes based on the challenge.
Example: when the challenge is speed based he uses Sonic speed, as usual, if based on others skills one the other two could be used.
One of the few times lucario can make it withought high aura!

I think if you're going to consider Snake able to escape without outside help, you should do the same for Bowser junior and Link-- they could both easily get to the higher percents needed by blowing themselves up a bunch beforehand.

inkling can make it, if you mash roller then mash jump you can get an extra wall jump which is just enough to clear the gap.

I don't think it would help enough, but something you can do with Joker is time the jump when you're about to get Arsene, so you can get the tiny extra bit of height from normal up-b then use Arsene up-b.
It's the only way he can clear the temple jump in my testing, so I thought I'd at least point it out here.
