It was so nice to see you get away for a visit with your friend and her family. There’s nothing like the beach to renew the soul. We go to the Destin area every year for a week of vacation usually in August, so it won’t be long before we go. We love that area so much!!!!! I definitely see restaurants in your video that I would like for us to check out while we are there this year. We usually eat at the same places every year so it will be good to try some new places this year. I love seeing Bonnie welcome you back home!!!! She is so precious!!!!! When I lived in defuniak springs over 45 years ago we use to go to fort Walton beach and things have sure changed. I had my oldest child in Pensacola fla. we loved living there.I could see the grief in your eyes going home. Parting is so sad.

Got company coming in tomorrow from the Destin area (I’m in athens, GA). When they leave and inevitably will say, “Y’all come down and see us!”, I’m gonna take em up on it and make them take me to get that cheesecake that’s big as all outdoors! Yum!

Thank you for sharing your trip. I remember my plane trip out to California to visit my son and his family just a few months after my husband passed. It was bittersweet...sad that my husband was not with me but also happy to arrive and see my family. Grief is a journey that takes you on many different emotions, but I am so thankful that the Lord has been with me to navigate the course. He is with you. So glad that you enjoyed your well deserved trip to visit your friend.
