What Is a central air conditioner?
Central air conditioners deliver cool air through a system of ducts and registers in rooms throughout your home. They help to dehumidify incoming air and are typically more energy-efficient than window units or portable air conditioners. Central Air Conditioners is the process of air cooling through a system of supply and return ducts. The supply ducts carry cooled air from the air conditioner in the entire room. Eventually, the cooled air becomes warmer when it circulates throughout the room. It also helps to dehumidify the incoming air. Dehumidifying helps to increase energy use, which is beneficial for you.

#Best_Central_Air_Conditioner, #Amana_Central_Air_Conditioner, #Goodman_Central_Air_Conditioner - Zábava
I’m a 40+ year service tech and contractor most systems last between 20 and 30 years (in our market) regardless of brand many of the major components are the same with few exceptions, however some systems unique components are quite expensive
I've had a Bryant furnace/AC unit for 21 years. I had to replace a ONE fuse and ONE igniter in that time! Amana at #1 and #3 is ridiculous.
I seriously doubt these ratings were based on anything other than one person’s opinion. Consumer Reports is considered the gold standard by most people when it comes to ratings. They actually send surveys to their subscribers and compile the results into meaningful ratings.
Builder installed a 4 ton Goodman AC single stage unit for about 1,700 square feet. It has been running perfectly for 11 years (2011-2022) in the Las Vegas summers. I do clean the coils annually, use quality filters every 3 months and vacuum the condensate line. Outside of that, no service over 11 years.
Clean the compressor or the indoor coil (or both)? How do you do it
4 ton for 1700 sq-ft?
More important is quality of installation.
What do you set temp at in summer. They wont keep up at 76f when its 110 outside
Goodman very dependable and a standard of the industry. I'd get another Goodman and have complete confidence.
Lennox rocks!
Im looking at Carrier/Bryant, American Standard, Heil, hope I can get a decent price on a 3ton unit!
I have a 25 year old Bryant, it’s on it’s last legs. I just got a quote on a 3 ton Amana..$10,400….wow…also going to look at Carrier
Carrier is junk
I stick with TRANE and AMERICAN STANDARD; ease of maintenance y long lasting quality!
I put an American Standard May 2019. Just replaced the coil. First was refilled May 2021. Tech said they have a lot of issues lately with the new cheap coils!
@@patrickchilds5486 That will be the beginning of the end; Customers and dealers had a lot of trust in their products but if they're offering junk, no one wants to sell them!
@@patrickchilds5486 my neighbor had to replace Traine heat pump and air handler within 7 years even it was well maintained
Many complaints about Trane and AS coils recently
Sorry to hear that. Are they made in America?
An AI generated narrative and a computer generated voice over.
Nothing based in reality.
Amana, Goodman, Lennox...okkk
That’s the biggest load of garbage I’ve ever heard. Amana is the most Non-dependable unit ever built. You’ll need that warranty. They suck.
How about Airtemp I am about to install a 4 ton are they good?
They aren't as bad as some others. Most of the time, HVAC systems fail early or don't yield their rated capacities because of the installers failures to use manufacturers specs and always cut corners while improvising all of the important needs in ducting, returns and their locations, supply registers that are cheap stamped cut or rolled fin types, correct Y ducting, correct sizing and correct delta in the air handler etc.
I have seen some installations that any 5th grader could have done on their worst day and the sad part is, I've seen way too may of those. New installs are just the same, tract homes get the "contractors special" units and the installs are crap due to the bidding process to get the work.
Lennox also fails easily
Robot voice, not trustworthy
Haha. What a load of crap
Goodman bottom of the barrel.
@@russliberti5346 But they are also the cheapest so it has some value vs cost.
@@anciagabe7804 No It doesn't! It's crap!
