- Based on the events of the Dream SMP, watch as two long-time enemies, Tommy and Dream, reunite for the first time in months.
Dream has just escaped prison, and Tommy runs to the place he was exiled, searching for a valuable axe he had buried there months before. However, when he arrives there, he finds something far more sinister...
I hope you enjoy this fun little film project me and my friends worked on while I was home from college for a couple weeks! It's not perfect by any means, but I LOVE the way it turned out! It was SO fun to utilize all aspects of my professional theatre training and cosplay/editing experience for this! Expect a behind-the-scenes video somewhere in the near future!

THAT WAS SO COOL!!! I literally loved all of this, from the acting, the chasing and to just the simple details of the movements and the expressions!!! It literally made me feel chills the actor who interpreted Dream, it was so intimidating , and your acting as Tommy made me feel scared for my life lol, and the actor for Phil was just amazing on how chill looked and all three of you looked amazing on your costumes!!! Loved it!!! Love your acting!!!
This was beautifully made. Honestly, this perfectly how i picture a live action to be. And am happy you did this. Props to the actors for just doing an amazing job portraying dream, tommy and phil. Its just beautiful.

Thank you! Also, yeah, it was very cold! We took plenty of breaks in my warm car though, so don’t worry! I sadly didn’t think of hand warmers until we had arrived at the filming location haha… None of us got sick or anything though! We’re all doing great! (And yes, I’m so glad everyone’s noticing that little fun easter egg!)

THIS IS SO GOOD! How did you memorize such a huge part?! Also I freaking love Philzas cosplay. THEY ARE ALL SO GOOD! And tiny Techno on the rocks... 🥹
Thank you so much!!! Basically, I transcribed it into a paper script format and sent it to the other actors. We didn’t full on memorize it though, just got familiar enough with it to block out the scene ahead of time. When we were filming, we filmed with the audio playing in the background, so we were a second late sometimes with the audio, but that was an easy fix with editing in post production! I’m so glad you enjoyed all the cosplays and the little Techno Easter egg too!

@@IdK_776-94 Hey, sorry to make you wait on a response! But great question that I’m super excited to answer! It was quite a process: 2 days to block and choreograph the movement of both the actors and the camera, and 2 separate days to film. Me and the other actors piled in the car- cosplays, props, makeup, and all- 2 hours north until we found suitable places to film. We didn’t have time to location scout beforehand either, so we really had to just cross our fingers and hope we found a spot. And thankfully we found two beautiful spots, one of which was in the snow! Then we played the audio track on one phone so we could lip sync, and the other was used to film. This was a very experimental piece for me, and my very first self-directed short film! If you’re looking to do something similar yourself, my best advice is to practice filming and also watch other indie short films for ideas and inspiration. (I have a self-directed music video out right now if you wanted to see something of mine that’s more recent, and a couple more similar projects coming out very soon, but watching anything that interests you and taking note of what you like and don’t like is great help!) It also helps to have some really good friends who are willing to put up with your craziness and help out haha. There’s a lot of cool things you can make by yourself, but a film is definitely not one of them; it really does take a team and I’m forever grateful for the support I’ve had in my indie filmmaking journey. I hope this answer was helpful, but don’t be afraid to ask any questions! I’m very happy to help and I appreciate you taking the time to comment!
