    I wish my Warrior X Pro had a beam like yours; mine has a big dark yellow spot where the hot spot should be.
    It's funny, I just came across your video, and I was doing the same comparison just an hour ago; my If22a got here yesterday; however, I didn't have time to use it till this evening.
    Honestly, I prefer the much cheaper Sofirn.

    I just bought it on sale for $40, it looks like a hell of a deal for the money to be honest. A month ago i bought the catapult mini and really liked the optic in it, that it was my official intro to this type of lenses. So this one came up as "recommended" and once i took a good look into it and thanks to ur review, i decided why not. Easy returns just incase always makes it easier to buy.

    • @jaekamacho1416
      @jaekamacho1416 Před 2 lety +2

      @@sashaghovanlou8175 i ended returning the mini, cause even though it has a great throw and was very light to carry and handle, i quickly realized that it was more of a novelty item more than anything. The beam was long and bright, but the hot spot was prety small and at a distance it was a bit hard to tell what i was looking at. I still have and use the if22a, the bigger battery, stronger beam and bigger hot spot along with the price made it a winner for me. I have the regular catapult that i also use every now and then. But between the mini and this one, i pick this one.

    Thanks for the review. I love the throw with such a small form factor but wish it had a slightly more usable spill for walking around. I have the sf47t from sofirn and it makes for a very comfortable walking around at night light despite its size. WOuld you suggest going for an IF22 instead?

    In my country, this light is only $30. For 1/4 the price of the Olight Warrior X Pro, this is a great deal. Also, the Olight does not have USB Type C charging capability which is a major deal breaker for me. Proprietary charging is always a no-go.

  • @georgecostanza2695
    @georgecostanza2695 Před 6 měsíci

    Was just looking for a thrower and these two made the short list. Didn’t like the Warrior’s need for proprietary batteries, chargers, and lack of onboard typeC charging. The Olight was $120 and the IF22a was $20 (with battery) on an Aliexpress Welcome special… for me the choice was easy, and a bonus was how much brighter the Sofirn got when I dropped a Samsung 40T into it!

      I have too many Olights, but I have heard good things about the Sofirn IF25 (tint shifting, high CRI) as an EDC. I'll have to watch this video later today on the SOFIRN IF22A, but I imagine Prepared Guy does his usual fine job reviewing it. My only Sofirn is the BLF LT1, an exceptionally fine lantern. I think they may have upgraded it slightly since I bought mine. I like the C to C charging, various high CRI tints, that it will run on 1 to 4 18650 batteries, and sturdy construction. If I had to pick one lantern, the BLF LT1 would be the one.

    good video i have bought the if22a too and iam not sure if it has a thermal problem. in your video i saw dropdown from turbo around 2 minutes. its geting so hot i cant hold it anymore over 2:30 i still dont drop down what do you think. defectiv?

    • @PreparedGuy
      @PreparedGuy  Před rokem

      Are you putting it into turbo immediately after it steps down? That could put it over the top thermal output and it will definitely get extremely hot if you do that. If not then it could just be the ATR. If it is a faulty Automatic Thermal Regulator, then it might be protected by the warranty. I would contact sofirn and ask them directly. They have very knowledgeable staff that might know somethings about the products that I may not.

    I was looking at the if22a for Bosch Friday but a review said you can’t leave it plugged up or charge it overnight or too long or it will catch on fire. Any truth to that claim?
    Also this is two years old now, any other flashlight I should look at over the if22a?

    • @PreparedGuy
      @PreparedGuy  Před 8 měsíci

      Probably not an accurate statement. I couldn't imagine leaving a flashlight on the charger over night and having it be a fire risk. I've had this light for a while now and I've left it on the charger over night several times without incident. There are dozens and dozens of newer flashings on this channel. One I liked in particular was the Olight Javelot mini. It's simple and has a nice amount of throw and flood.

    • @PreparedGuy
      @PreparedGuy  Před 2 lety +1

      It's kinda was. It was both a good and bad comparison because I have a tendency to buy lights that are different from each other rather than simular. It's all part of how I roll in the gear review world 😎👍🤣so any comparison I make would be close but obvious in the differences.

    • @PiercingTheDarkness
      @PiercingTheDarkness Před 2 lety +3

      Just need to bypass the tail spring and you get 1900 lumens instead of only 1580. The IF22A under performed, but look at the price difference, there's just no comparison. If the 5000K tint was available with the SFT40 and the spring was upgraded it would be better when you look at the sheer value of the Sofirn

    Wow thumbs up to olight, people complain alot about olight being too cold and never offering more neutral white lights, but in comparison especially with the if22a you can tell the olight warrior x pro is a more neutral white, I like the if22a but I think I'll wait till they come out with some more tint options...and maybe a tail switch. Sofirn had them on the c8g so it's probably just a matter of time.

    • @PreparedGuy

      @@PreparedGuy me too, I love sofirn, I have some smaller olights, but they can be pricey but they are well made, but sofirn and lumintop are special to me since they were the first lights I got into when I realized the vast difference between store bought lights and the way better lights that are sold online usually made in China. My c8g always stays on my nightstand right beside my sc21, and an sc31 pro is my dog walking light. Sofirn only let me down once, a sc21 I had stopped working but I forgive them.

    • @shadowmaster8020
      @shadowmaster8020 Před 2 lety

      I doubt they will come out with a tailswitch due to the driver running an e -switch (which means they'd have to create or a use a different driver). Also, the cool white is due to the SFT40, which I believe only comes in 5000 kelvin and above.

    • @prencipebass
      @prencipebass Před 2 lety +1

      The Warrior has a greenish tint that is not perceived in the videos. Seen on the walls of the house she really sucks. The 6500k tint of my C8G is definitely better than my Warrior neutral. The fault is certainly the custom dedome that makes Olight.

    • @Lancealot3553
      @Lancealot3553 Před 2 lety

      @@prencipebass I don't own any expensive olights, so I can only see what's shown on videos, I've taken the advice of most of the flashlight enthusiasts and steered clear of them for that reason, if olights have a worse tint than a c8g then they probably don't make one that I would enjoy.
