Whoever the hitting coach is should give back their salary for this year so far AND HIT THE ROAD....but he probably couldnt even HIT that!!!! Do something for gods sake
I agree! This cannot be a coincidence every single year. We have a young group of guys who are not polished so they need someone who can get them there. People always say coaching doesn’t matter in MLB but I think there is much more to it.

Do you really believe it's the batting coaches fault. That's such a non needed coaching job to begin with. This is a young team that is subject to the EBBS and Flows concerning their econfidence, and right now they have little to none. Yes we can all hope as all fans should do and yes as I still do, But there were three things we all knew or should have known about this team 1) The Reds are too young for the moment. 2) Starting pitching was subject and still is. 3) Bell has more than proven during his tenure that he can't manage, not withstanding a young team to boot. WHY? Are so many on here so surprised at this team's start. Do you not pay attention? Or, just base your confidence in this team solely by emotions alone ?
@@jaybane7790 well we cant get rid of all the players so at this point coaches and Bell need to be taken to task. Baloney on this "young player excuse garbage" the players have talent but the strategy to hitting is wrong...be aggressive and swing at strikes early in counts instead of hoping for walks and looking at called 3rd strikes. Who are these nobodys they keep signing? Ford, Hurturnsie (whatever) Capel???? They miss Friedl, Mclain, Noarte, but part is conditioning and Noarte just being stupid. This was supposed to be THE YEAR (again) and has been a fecies show ever since they were 4 games above .500...so spare me your excuses! I've been following them since 1969 through good times and bad, mostly bad, not the 10 years you've been a fan!!!!!!!!

This reminds of last year, when we thought all was lost. Remember, Steve&Jeff pointed out how harsh May schedule is. When July arrives, I expect to see, even w skeleton roster, to see Reds at/above . 500

Paul Keels was the voice of the Bearcats before he became the voice of the Buckeyes. Keels leaving worked out fine, Dan Hoard does a great job for the Bearcats.
There's only one reason left to be excited about and that's Elly. Maybe Greene if he ever plays to his potential

We had bad breaks with 3 of pure top 5 hitters. Not much you can do when that happens. There is hope with our pitching. Imagine if we had McLain and Marte, many of those 1 run games would have been wins. Keep the hope alive! Maybe we can get a good win streak going!

The sample size is large enough to know what we have in Benson. Montas is on a 1 year contract, can we get a useful player in a trade? Our hitting has been awful. Is there any trade possible with Fairchild or Candelario? This year has been cooked since Marte juiced up, then the endless injuries now including Lodolo. Luke Maile is fine as a backup catcher.

Hard to get excited with this lack of offense, zero moves to help it and no accountability for the failures. Just throw out the yearly injury excuse. Fire the dang hitting coach. Reds wasting good starting pitching
Regardless of what's been said, there's no doubt injuries have been far and away the biggest problem so far. No team can be without so many of their primary players and expect to be successful. That's not making excuses, but is fact. Take one star out of any team of any sport and you're going to suffer. Take out
2 or 3 or 4 or more as
the Reds have experienced and your going to fail, unless all the rest of your players are having career seasons. If the Reds can get healthy they'll win, but it doesn't look good.
If Reds do not turn it around quickly I would expect the Reds to be sellers at the Trade Deadline. Frankie Montas will get interest. Jonathan India. Tyler Stephenson. But the prize that many teams will have interest in off the Reds roster is Alexis Diaz. Needless to say I think David Bell will not make it to Memorial Day. Go Reds! 😅😅😅😅
