Gweneth-Ann Jeffers singing "Waldesgespräch" from Richard Strauss' opera Ariadne auf Naxos (Op. 60) during the first preliminary round of the 2001 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition.
The English soprano was a member of The Royal Opera Vilar Young Artist programme.
She has given concerts with the Orquesta Nacional de España in Madrid, the Accademia Santa Cecila in Rome, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, NDR Hannover, and has appeared at the BBC Proms and at festivals in Aldeburgh, Cheltenham and Edinburgh. With the Royal Opera she has appeared in Il Trovatore, Elektra and Daphne, and has also sung the role of Leonora (Il Trovatore) for Welsh National Opera.
