You are correct. When I say supporting a reflex I am referring to helping it integrate and improve. Each case is different but I dedicate 12 weeks per reflex. We give you more guidance in our course at www.elevating-kids.com Thanks 🙏
@@elevatingkids Wow thanks a lot. I will go there and check it out! Its amazing that the pediatrician didnt think to examine this as a possibility when the issues first started. My son is now 9 and beginning in preschool has had pencil grip issues, scissor issues, speech issues and now he also is having some midline issues in his ballet training that can be explained by this unintegrated reflex! He is also diagnosed with ADHD which is how i found your video on assessing ATNR. I was reading scientific papers about the correlation between the two: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23659315/ My son could not do the arms straight thing very well at all! I was so shocked. He also struggles with the 'superman' pose. I suspect that these unintegrated relfexed might also explain why he is soooo exhausted when he comes home from school and sleeps 10 hours a night. Trying to maintain 'normalcy' when your body cant must be tiring. We live in the Netherlands since he was 5 and they dont have a lot of attention on these issues. Thanks for sharing this valuable information. It is so so helpful!
Hi, is it possible to integrate several reflexes at the same time or must it be done in a specific order? ☺️🙏🏻 And if it’s possible to integrate at the same time, is it then enough with one exercise for each reflex? ( For a 6 years old kid)
I take the approach of working on the reflex that is most “severe” work on that one for 12 weeks then retest. You will find the brain works on all of them even though your focus is on just one. (Any movement will help them all). Hope this helps. If your child gets tired of a certain activity then you can mix it up. The key is consistency with getting the body moving to help connect the brain & body. Hope that makes sense.
Very helpful! Thank you so much
when he says 'supporting the reflex' does he mean 'helping to get get rid of it?. Wonder how long before improvement is noticed.
