    2nm is the maximum limit if we decrease the length of NMOS/PMOS or CMOS there will be a leakage of current. And it will work as short circuit.

    It is very hard to do fabrications beyond 3nm because of the quantum tunneling issue. Quantum computers are not mainstream, they are used for specific purpose and won't be used by general public in the future.

    Let me correct something deeply. The 2nm is the effective length between the gates of transistors when it is on state. It does not mean that the distance between the transistor is 2nm. The physical length may be 10nm and the effective length might go to 2nm when you apply the voltages. So don't get fool by the nanometres naming convention.

    The thing is quantum computers are suitable as supercomputers as they are better in doing a large variety of tasks together in a much lesser time than normal processors
    But most of the task any one in the world does are a single task for a long period of time and that's why sometimes normal processors are more powerful than quantum computers in every other work than supercomputer tasks and RnD

      Means 4nm barrier as per you saying, has been passed by IBM.
