Hello! We live in Japan with two Asian Small-Clawed Otters.
Kotaro: Male, DOB 11/10/2017
Kotaro has a scar on his tail from being bitten by another otter when he was still a baby.
Hana: Female, DOB 11/24/2018

What a nice welcome home greeting. Hana & Kataro are really like small children, who have missed their daddy. There is even the smelling and the biting that indicates they are a little bit annoyed with their daddy for leaving them for some smelly strangers. Kotaro is even looking for hidden love messages on the phone from other otters.

Господи, до чего же приятно смотреть на мордашки Котаро и Ханы. Просто оторваться невозможно. И то, как Котарик смотрел из-за подушки настороженно, и как он в свойственной ему манере шарил в карманах у папы в поисках смартфона, и как он сопротивлялся, чтобы не отдать смартфон - эти мгновения просто бесценны. Хане все равно чем там пахнет папа. Главное, на руках у него лежать и балдеть, зажмурив глаза. А Котаро - это Котаро! Изучение превыше всего :)

Awww!!!! Kotaro and Hana were so happy to see Daddy! It looked like Kotaro was conducting a thorough investigation of Daddy, perhaps wanting to find out if Daddy had seen other animals! He was so funny removing Daddy's phone from his pocket and trying to take off with it! LOL I believe that Kotaro thinks that is HIS phone! I wonder if he wanted to watch otter videos, or call up his friends? Maybe call and order sashimi? LOL

The behaviour of Kotaro is a bit strange - if I remember correctly he is the one who always want to get cuddled by Dad. Maybe he smells something different and had to find out what that could be. But it could be that Kataro just want to find the phone - 2 days without the phone are hard to survive. ;-)) ;-))
