It's 2007, I finish classes in high school and get on a bus towards my home. The ride is about 30 minutes so I take the standing position at the very end of the bus. Most people sit but I'm standing. I put my headphones on and turn on Plasticworld. It's a long track so I put it on repeat several times. While the bus is moving, I'm daydreaming. Dreaming about the future, about my life, about the present moment. I don't even know what I'm feeling, I just feel so good like the Universe is telling me to be happy. I want to share what I feel with the people around me. When the lyrics kick in at 4:25 I whisper them with my lips, again and again, I know them by heart. It fills me with happiness, this amazing mix of hard beat and wonderous effects and lyrics. I did it almost every day for months. Now, 13 years later, I still remember it like it was yesterday. I will never recreate the same exact experience, but I can still turn on Plasticworld and go back, even for a few seconds. I thank god for giving me life and thank Pendulum for giving me this track. Whichever way you are using to crack the code of life, it won't work. You won't get back. And that's the beauty of it. Doesn't matter how long I will live. I can live forever if I so desire.

This song is pure atmosphere. A rainy night in a black and white city and on the corner a fogged up taxi collects you and you see the lights rush past on the city streets is what I envision. Breathtaking.

soul meets dnb, pendulum are heroes in mixing different genres and styles. Even if people think they're "mainstream" because of it. At least they're doing something unique. They also were the first ones to bring dnb and live music together in a way that actually worked.

Pendulum is one of the pinnacle groups to have ever emerged in the mid 2000's Drum and Bass/ Electronic Rock scene besides E-Z Rollers, STS9, KJ Sawka, London Elektricity, Chase & Status and others to name a few. I still listen to them to this day and enjoy them over any other style.

intro. standing in the country side overlooking the city standing mext to either a matte black widebodied S15 Silvia or an AE86 during the intro. right when the uptempo goes you are just mobbing and getting sideways touge style. right when the main part kicks in where the vocalist goes this is a plastic world (i think thats what he is saying) you are just entering the city and drifting and speeding. bobbing and weaving tbrough traffic
