Tom sends chills up my spine with his passion and intensity. When I saw him in person, I was just mesmerized. His incredible voice carried right through the theatre. I will never forget it....

I notice Tom physically pumping himself up before he starts singing, like a boxer just before a fight starts. Getting ready to give this song his all.
My mom saw TJ live in the 80s. She along with all the other women, was very taken by his animal magnetism. Elvis and he had that in common, along with an operatic singing style...you can see why they were friends.

Yea Dani it was alot of snow in NYC yesterrday. It was beautiful, bit the cleanup went well. Your version of the song was great. Love everything about it. Beautiful video. Tom jones I heard got both his vaccines. I met Tom. I wrote it in another comment. A very nice guy. Do you know he still meets with Elvis' ex wife for lunch on many occasions. You have to hear his song Thunderball for the James Bond Movie.

A very beautiful and passionate rendition you give of this song, Dani! TJ was the first person I heard sing this song. A very powerful performance! Another great version of this I've heard is by Petula Clark. Done around 5 years before Tom's. A little more subdued and lovely orchestration and organ work. Please check it out.

Dani I have watched your cover a few times and enjoyed it more each time. Nice of you to react to the great Tom Jones with his version. Hopefully you will react to Angelina again soon. She covered this song at age 6 in a recording studio, it is her best of the few she recorded at that age. Angelina also has a few Elvis covers so you have plenty to choose from. The snow is certainly piling up in February.

Only a fool would try to cover "I'll Never Fall In Love Again", It's a CLASSIC and gave me a newfound respect for Tom Jones (he was before my time). Now I understand why people loved him!
But with respect to "I Who Have Nothing" the lyrics seem to lend themselves to a woman's voice somehow. I'm just a formerly deaf, retired Lawyer, so my musical opinion doesn't really count for much...but I know what I like!

Other contestants had also performed that song on American Idol as well, but none of them could match Haley's vocal ability and Haley's ability to emote, which makes her version a cut above everyone else who performed that song on the show.

Not a good recording. For some reason they've turned the orchestration up and lowered the level of his voice to the point he can't be heard clearly, and so much is lost. Sadly, this became the norm for recording strong and even operatic singers.
Thanks to feminists, men dont sing to women like this anymore.
