For me, it's the joy of creation you both show, and the cheerfulness as you go along, and the lovely and meticulous detail. Plus, of course, mad painting skills to finish things off! Your guys are FAR more fun to watch than other diorama builders, at least for me!
Okay, but as an archaeologist I LOVE your way of aging bottles for this kind of decor work! Super great way to get a realistic aged glass look without trying to get antiques!
This is so deeply inspiring. For so long I’ve dreamed of living in a cozy medieval corner of the world and I always felt like it was a lil silly to think I could design a house with that aesthetic. should most defiantly put up like a strip light around the ceiling part so when you have any of your like glow work up you can change it to that blue/purple colour and really make it stand out! The workshop looks incredible!
I was thinking the same - it’s a gorgeous back drop to videos, but with the dark walls and ceilings, the props and decor vanish on camera - nothing a little accent lighting wouldn’t solve! Damn, I love that space :)

My lady Martina, there is a book I hope to see you make. It’s a tome from Netflix dragon prince. Callum carries a large sketch tome around with a leather strap for ease of carry and a small strap to hold his pencil. Would be really cool to see you make it
Purple and gold is my absolute all time favourite colour combo... to the point I have literally, today, done the Summer refresh on the large plant pots outside my door; and of all the different combinations of pansies to purchase I made sure I included the Purple ones with yellow 'petal tip', and the vice versa ones too!
Love seeing every work of yours through the years, finally filling the blank space in the new studio and of course, Medieval? Hell yeah! ❤️🙌🏼

The table now needs to look like an old magicians workspace. Loads of notes and scrolls, spells and potions. All on the outer edges to frame the projects as you work on them. 😘

Congrats on the new space. At first, I thought it would be too dark, but seeing the space with all your amazing projects in, I think it looks really cool. I assume that over time you will replace the modern furniture with more appropriate ones for the medieval setting, so the only thing that pulls me out of the illusion right now is the tool rack in the center of the setting. I wish you had placed this somewhere where it would be less visible, but otherwise, it really looks cozy and unique.

You two are so amazing and inspiring. My wife and I just closed on our new home with 17 acres so we can add our goat farm. We're getting ready to start construction of everything here in the next day and we're trying to document what we're doing, but we have no experience with editing videos so everyone is getting the raw footage for now. Down the line, we'll be adding the Wedding barn, market place, camp grounds.... and... and... well... we'll let you know when things happen. :-) But I am so excited to see your two starting the next chapter of life with the Nerd Forge. I love love love this room. One thing i noticed is that I think you need more warm toned light on the wall with the window. I think that will help make the room look more balanced on camera. This space fits yall so well and I cant wait to see your future crafts!
The bottles that have food colouring water in them - put some white vinegar in as well to stop the water going slimey. Workshop looks fantastic. Can't wait to see all the amazing creations that come out of it.

I have a friend that LARPs as a potion mage. His potion "bag" is a bar backpack, and his potions range from ice coffee to herb vodkas. His recent add-on is a cool tube that holds six Monster drinks! He put willow bark around it.
We have the exact same ideal aesthetic, and im rlly passionate about world building so finding your channel and becoming more inspired to create dioramas of my world and creations is just the best thing ive discovered in a while

it’s so incredibly gorgeous!!! my only constructive suggestion is staining/painting the pegboard to blend w the wall/colour scheme more, but that’s only if u don’t want it so be a feature of course.
little lighting tip... White Square of Polystyrene.. Shine the light on the polystyrene and let that diffuse into the area. (it was a lighting tip from a 1960's Tv show called "Voyage to the bottom of the sea." It apparently makes the light even around the room and not shine in your face as much.. (also saves on lights reflecting on surfaces.)
This is the first video I've ever seen by NerdForge and I'm already tearing up at seeing this project unfold with (I assume) all you guys' old projects from over the years.

I really love the new Studio Look! I think I would have stained the Pegboard tho, It's just a little too Clean against all the other Decor
Seeing Matina make scrolls reminds me of when my husband and I made out wedding invitations. We used special velvety paper which we folded by hand around the invitation and closed it with wax seals so it looked like old style letters in leather
Super awesome to see how far you guys have come. If I may offer up a suggestion... If that hole in the wall is actually for a window, you should definitely do some type of frosted effect on the glass whenever it gets installed. I feel like the whole "its cold and snowy outside, but warm and dry inside", would really help to nail home the coziness that you said the new area already has. Best wishes to you both!

I’ve been waiting with anticipation since your last mural painting of the new office… now, to patiently wait to see the end product!!! IDEA… if you create fairy lights/magical swirls on the ceiling by adding wood and drilling pin holes so tiny LED color changing lights poke thru… like your casting spells…. I don’t know if I’m describing it correctly, but I’ve seen it done in a custom van build and it reminded me of something you would see at Disney!!!

The potions and scrolls are so cool! The final effect is indeed magical =)
For that staff in the corner, the head kind of disappears, it would be easy to just make a metal or wooden hook, coming out of the corner about 1/3 of the way down and a bit out, and then put the staff in it with the bottom in the corner and it will lean out forward a bit so the head shows more.
And i do think it needs just a little more light, maybe put of a diffused ARGB string to the top, so you can choose color and brightness, maybe even add some small ARGB LEDs to make some backdrop glows. Add some small upward facing ones just in front of the books, maybe add a few in between the potions etc.
The big lamp does a lot, but it might be a bit much to be on and in your face all the time.
This dark corner fits perfectly to everything you are making. It turn out super beautiful. This aestetic makes me feel so calm. I can't wait to see next projects😍

That's what I was thinking as well, it stands out and looks out of place.
My feeling about the IKEA corner shelves, and the other modern bookshelf on the other side. But they said the place would be evolving, so maybe they have plans to replace those. Probably with something cooler than we expect!

The workbench, if and when you upgrade it, put it on casters so you can move it as needed.
You know what would make it super cool? If you put soft spotlights on the ceiling shining directly on to the wall and everything on it to make the room have a warmer feel. They would also help us see everything better in the background.

You need to put some fake candles (a chandelier, perhaps in the shape of a candle, with a light bulb inside with the flickering effect) near the banners, so as to make it look even more medieval and light up the banners a little more like this. to make them stand out better!!!!

Looks fantastic! If I may suggest an idea: how about filling in the indoor window with a stained glass? or realistic multi-layered 3d painting of a fantasy scene so it looks like you're looking outside? edge lit by led's? or an led display showing random action fantasy scenes?

Why dont u make a tiny lil tree house kinda thing in ur studio on a corner above the ground and have it just big enough for u to get in by bending and nyaaa im so happy for u guyss

Really great space! It’s going to make filming so much better for you both with the added space and with dedicated lighting and camera tracks. I think some really great additions would be a surround for the bookcases to make them look built in, older and more ornate, some more soft furnishings like rising cloaks or hats, definitely a full sized brazier or torch with flickering fire effects, and perhaps a water feature of some kind (perhaps a cauldron) with a mist maker inside. Just ideas, of course, living out my dreams 😍 I know whatever you guys do, it’s going to look incredible, and is just going to get better with time!
