Really ingenious design with the Highlander base. Allows a pose that looks natural in flight and on the ground.
I prefer the Southbreeze Lowlanders but this is pretty cool too. Thanks for the review!

There isn’t a bad mech in this set. Warhammer are one of the two greatest heavies ever (along with the Cataphract), grasshoppers are always nice though I wish he got the jump jet treatment. The gunslinger is really cool, a slightly cheaper Nightstar type mech, and the jumping highlander looks awesome even if it gives up 6 tons of weapons for jump jets you’ll never really use…

Of the four merc packs that were released in the last month/month and a half, the Highlander pack is definitely my favorite.
After thirty years of waiting, it's nice to finally have a Gunslinger mini that doesn't look like a dog turd.

I think they’ve saved a lot of the mediums for the mercenaries kickstarter. I think also a lot of medium/light variants are not very interesting and not all that different. But even just more of the jumping mechs being light or medium would have been nice.
Which is why I'm gonna buy whatever the top tier is for it lol, I'm excited

Best thing for the IDF I think is the ability to do at least something to mechs trying to keep you out of sight.

Finally managed to get some of the boxed sets, so I'm hopeful that we'll actually get these here in Oz eventually. Without having to pay $130 in shipping that is. Picked up the Clan Command Star and Comstar Battle Level II at well below retail, which is nice. Couldn't find them in my state, but only a couple of days shipped at a reasonable rate. Now I'm trying to track down some of those Army Painter sets (although the actual Battletech set is unlikely to show up here for some time).

My favourite Mercenary group in the whole setting next to the Black Thorns and the Gray Death get some much deserved love. Very happy with the look of the minis and eagerly awaiting the day my own box arrives. Digging the new studio as well guys. Very snazzy

I think I would use the jump exhaust just to be able to see a flattened urbie - the only way to have an urbie on the table.

Happy to see more Warhammer and Highlander goodness - both are mechs I can see having multiple of which are currently really only around in sets that it'd be weird to double up on. Still a little sad about no marauder in any of the new boxes - the marauder is my favorite heavy mech and I really don't need another archer in my collection since that was in the alpha strike starter box)

I think you guys mistook the rear mounted leg medium pulse lasers for jump jets on that Gunslinger
There are JJ ports on the leg - the little nozzle thingies we speculated. Are the MPLas leg mounted? Either way pretty cool.
@@DeathfromAboveWargaming ah I misheard and thought you were referring to the nozzles. I believe those would be rear mounted leg mpl. Seems like an anti elemental sort of thing or meant to make a light mech dance when it tries to back stab.

Hey guys just wondering about your thoughts on the proliferation pack CGL announced. Being a dirty clanner, I want the Coyotl.
Its interesting - definitely a cool collectors item. I am not sure I would ever really use many of them outside of a special game etc. Like overall reusability is not extremely high.

@@DeathfromAboveWargaming There are modern variants for all the designs in the box. Not sure if I'll use them either - I've had a Gladiator assembled and painted for years that's never hit the table! But it's nice to have.
