verry cool video mr ballistic i love seeing peaple inprove their printers For now for me its not posible to do as im legaly blind most things come with well u need to see in order to ... but perhaps in the future ill find a way to combine my stone carving i do by hand with some of the new well machines coming out. Great vid love to see what u changed more Michel
Thanks for watching and commenting. Have you been to any 3D Printing meetups or conventions? Perhaps there some people can find a way to help you improve yours?
if the print bed wobbles than you have not assembled it correctly reread the instructions carefully, also fix those loose hanging wires next time you build something as you wire it up build the wiring into a wire harness ,if you do not know what a wire harness looks like look at the wiring under the hood of any new car or truck and you will see how the wiring is laid out nice and neat nothing hanging slap dap loose.
This video is about 4 years old. At the time there were well documented issues with the tolerances for both the Y and X axes. There were more eccentric nuts on either. Theods I show in this series are meant to address those and other common modifications to the printer as it was sold at the time. I currently own and operate over 10 FDM printers. This isn't my best printer but I'm fairly happy with how it ended up at the end of the series.
@@BallisticTech These printers were sold as kits for the owners to assemble however most of the prople who purchased have no idea or knowledge relating to standard assemble practices as a result most of the machines were slaped together half ass and when it would not work they bad mouthed the manufacture ,this is a result of kids not being able to read and graduating from high school not able to spell cat and most are so bad the US Army refuses to accept them as cannon fodder.
Hey man loving your vids, might be a silly question but what are you using as your flexible plate on the x1?? Is it just a 15x15 bit of plastic or does it need to be something specific??
Hi. I wonder if you still have it the x1 and if you have installed Marlin on it. Do you have some video to share about how to do it? Thanks. Great video
I still have the X1 and use it for printing small stuff. But it's still running the stock firmware. I haven't seen much about getting marlin on this particular printer. At least no guides or prebuilt configurations. You best bet might be using either the Marlin configuration tool, or something like TH3D firmware tool. If you do figure something out feel free to give me an update. I'd love to get marlin on this printer also
Ah ok. Im planing to change motherboard instead to a creality board that i have spared and with Marlin do any change that need to be done. I think it will be more cool with a different board and better display(using just spared parts)
@@juanswe That will be a cool mod. Sorry I don't have any more info to help. I know ppl have used TH3D's firmware for printers that aren't supported by default. So that might be a good starting place. I actually have an old Ender 3 board so I'm very interested in your progress!
I need help in Printing the files I downloaded from thingiverse ... i have repetier ... How can I print them on Tronxy X1 ? one by one or i can print two on ONE GO. Thanks and regards
The best video of Tronxy X1. Отличный принтер за 100$. У меня такой же. Вот видео на него czcams.com/video/pEG2HJdslIw/video.html На неделе выйдет видео с апгрейдом на него.

1:08 magnetic build plate
4:55 Y axis bracket
5:28 Y axis tensioner
7:28 bed leveling thumb wheels
Wow the printer looks so much better now than it did when it was stock
Very informative and high quality video, keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching. Glad you found it helpful!
thanx man, I do appriciate your big work to improve this printer! you make my life much more easier :)
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for video. I’m waiting now for the same printer and this video will be very useful!
the first thing this printer needs is a proper wire harness
I need to watch a timelapse video with this Pi camera, I can't imagine how are the printer's movements for this angle.
I'll have some in the video covering the base and Pi
Im interesting about your videos, thank you for explain how to do it.

you can ask for current links to the parts used for the upgrade?

It's a specific type of plastic. I think commonly used in pcb's? G10 or garolite.
Can use something else tho. That's just something cheap they can get their hands one that's shows decent adhesion without a heated bed
its a 1/32 inch piece of fiberglass sheet...how special can that be
Also when I am printing the TEST .. the square coming fine .. but circle is Offset ... coming in OVAL ... what would be the issue ... Z wobble ????
Issue is not enough tension on the belts

Maybe I will do a video of the all process :-) i think maybe others will get some ideas.
