- Ladybug Rock Painting is the second tutorial in the #togetherathome Family Series! This one is is great for the younger kiddos too! No special dot painting tools required just a few things you can find around your home and some acrylic paints! I hope you enjoy creating these adorable little creatures as much as we enjoyed creating this video tutorial for you! Have fun, create, and stay safe!

My Mom collected rocks .
Each time she had a chemo treatment, she picked up a stone from their dry riverbed.
Mom passed 3 years ago, so I just painted each stone into colorful ladybugs for my garden.
Thanks for your inspiration 🙏
Brilliant tutorial especially for beginners. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing. Your lady bugs are beautiful

So cute! I was in lack of inspiration and I saw your video! About to finish my first ladybug and it's lovely ! I think i'm gonna do some more and hide them as little Spring presents around town. Thank you for sharing your creative positivy energy! You made my day!
Aww thank you Ophelie! I'm so glad you loved the tutorial. 💕 That is such a great idea about hiding them around town! 😁💕 I'm happy to hear I made your day and you have returned the feeling with your kind comments ❤️🤗
Can make 2 colors of lady bugs and create a tic-tac-toe game, sew a lil draw string bag or buy one to keep the rock game pieces in. Or even better yet, do a connect four for older persons. Fun forever and good memories. Thank you for sharing this video. Because sharing is caring.

Love this video! It’s by far the nicest rock painted ladybug of all the tutorials. Any chance you might do some more such as a bee or fish?

🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
very cute
Thannk you!
🥰 You are most welcome and thank you for watching Suzanne! 🙏🤗
I was wondering what brand of paint you use? You definitely get a better single coverage than I do.
I would have to paint over the rock initially 4, 5, or 6 times just to get that base coat coverage that you have.
😊 thanks
Try folk art paint 😊
@anned372 I do have some folk art, and some plaid. And some random ones from Hobby Lobby period of course all of them are kind of old and maybe they just don't have good coverage😅
I have a hard time getting the dotting tools to make a good circle on curved and uneven rocks. Any suggestions?
👍😊
Love the video, wondering where did you got those perfectly oval rocks.
Hi Diane my sincere apologizes for not replying your comment was in a held for review area I didn't know existed! We were able to find a few stones out in nature but you can find them at home depot stores where you buy landscaping rocks or in little bags of stones at the dollarstore or craft store! :)
Lowes has them too. you can buy bags of them.
Thank you for the tip Olga! 🤗
Love it!🤩what brand paint do you use?
Thank you Patricia! 🤗💕 I use DecoArt and FolkArt brand paint
Lovely
Thank you Mita!
I use a small fan to dry
What clear sealer do you use to protect your rocks after painting. Especially for outside.
Hi if I'm making stones for outside I definitely use an epoxy resin finish

Count the spots by what... The years.. Or months.. Or days...?
My apologies for not mentioning how much of a great job the kiddo did, that one's my favorite
I don’t think ladybirds live years? Maybe more like weeks?
Can you paint a bumble bee and a butterfly?
Hi Penny! I will add it to my list of tutorials for sure! Thank you for the request! 😁 I haven't done either of those before so I am looking forward to the new challenge! 🤗💕 I will create this as soon as I can!
Yes, please. The bumblebee is special significance. Thanks
2 many tools! Don't have all this
Hi Lesley! You can use anything you have at home to create dots with - pencils, nails, tacks, toothpicks, chopsticks, end of a paintbrush or makeup brush, anything that has a round or flat circle end on it will work. I didn't have any dotting tools when I first started I just did a scavenger hunt of my house to see what I could find that would work 😊
