As a college student, working three jobs, taking a full credit load, leading two organizations, with the weight of the world on my shoulders, my stress can feel crippling at times. However, despite hardship, nothing transitions me into serenity and peace like Vous worship. This song has gotten me through some of the toughest battles in my life. We serve an amazing God. Thank you, oh God, for perfect peace.
My mom used to sing to me “I’ve got peace like a river” when I was just a kid. Hearing this song again is so powerful. A timeless reminder that God’s peace passes all understanding!

I remember going to Trinity and always sitting towards the middle back of the service and I would hear this INCREDIBLE voice. I am a music producer, so when a person has an incredible voice, I know. And when I would turn around, I would hear DOE singing with her soul and gift and it would ABSOLUTELY move me. I was dumbfounded at the power in her voice. She loves to sing for the LORD. And years later, Rich and DC building Vous, and seeing her sing for Vous truly makes me happy because I KNOW she deserves to be on stage, as a permanent voice. She has a voice unlike any other. Few can sing from the PLACE where she sings from.
