How I Photographed the 2023 Annular Eclipse from Utah. Camera settings. Ring of Fire. 2 Utah Hikers

I decided last minute to try and photograph the annular eclipse. I didn't have an opportunity to get in the direct path but, I think I captured a pretty good ring of fire, just itself. I should have been more prepared at scouting a location to put something in the foreground. So, I slapped on a filter and shot the eclipse at 1200mm. Keep your filter on the entire time as the sun is not completely blocked by the moon. Don't look through the view finder, use your LCD screen in live view only. Manually focus. The light was definitely diffused and the temperature dropped drastically! #solareclipse #annulareclipse #ringoffire
