I grew up on a farm but never had goats. If you milk her will she still make enough milk for 3 babies if so I’d start making cheese with it. So glad you bought resale! Kids change sizes so quickly and it’s so easy to get newborn clothes that are gender neutral.

This is just informative. As mom needs enough milk to feed babies and you should only be starting to milk when kids are a 6-8 week mark. This is the doe’s peak production so she has the most.
Please just make sure babies have enough or you are bottle feeding be4 you take mommas milk.❤

She’s getting plenty of milk to feed her babies. That’s the cool thing about milk is they produce enough, even when being milked!
So reading this I was nursing 3 kids (baby 1 year old and 2 year old ) at the same time and still pumped enough to have a giant freezer stash. It's all supply and demand atleast for people lol!

Wow....a lot of talk about raw milk. It makes sense. The easiest thing is if you have a fear of getting sick or someone in your family getting sick from the raw milk avoid it. If you want to take that chance, go for it. It's that simple I, for one, don't like milk unless it's chocolate or been turned into ice cream.

that not true at all the pastrized isnt has good as raw thats why they say to drink it raw then pasturized plus some people are allergic to the pastruzied then raw

Pasteurized milk helps rid of any harmful bacteria that may be present just like cooking raw meat. The nutrient contents in raw milk and pasteurized milk are comparable, however the risks associated with raw milk are far greater. If someone has a milk allergy or is lactose intolerant, then both raw and pasteurized milk can cause reactions and people would be better off avoiding milk at that point.
You are farrr more likely to get a bacterial infection such as ecoli or salmonella from eating out at a restaurant than from raw milk you get from your own farm or a farm you know.
The living enzymes (for example; lactase) that have not been killed off through pasteurization makes the milk easier to digest which increases the bioavailability of it’s nutrient profile.

I was thinking the same thing you can get really sick from unpasteurized milk I just wanna make sure that they’re not gonna get sick from that if you look at the filter that the milk is going through has a bunch of hair and debris, I would not risk it, I would just pasteurize the milk.
