Good Evening!
Today I present another one of my favorite episodes of a cartoon I absolutely LOVED when I was a child. I changed up the process and models on this one to hopefully correct some mouth and speech artifacting that was brought to my attention in the last episode I did (Ghost Channel). Please feel free to critique and let me know if there are any other cartoons or animations that I could beautify!
I very much like this show. Adam wells
Same! For years I've wanted to see this show in HD but it was never available. Right at this moment I am finishing up the rest of Season 1 and will have it posted over the course of the next couple weeks.
Hey man! This is like my first favorite anime of all time. I was wondering how many more episodes were on your mind? I really appreciate these 4k60 upscales. Thank you so much!
I plan on eventually having the entire series done. Do you have a specific episode or set of episodes you want to see first?
@@computergeekproductions Nope, just found the one that I wanted. Was typing it out by EP"64" not Season 3 Episode 13. Thanks though, looking forward to the entire series!
Hey man! Is there a way you could tell me what software you use to upscale?
I would like to upscale all 4 English Openings to 1080p, but keeping the 30 fps
A magician never reveals his secrets ;) However, ESRGAN is a really great program to upscale with. The intro and all cartoon drawn parts of Code Lyoko are drawn and rendered at 12 FPS, This is then frame doubled to 25 FPS for PAL Regions and then pulled up again to 29.97 FPS for NTSC regions.
What you'll want to do is use ffmpeg and use the 'decimate' flag to intelligently pull the video back down to 12 FPS. This will discard all duplicate frames and only keep the originals.
Then you can process the video with ESRGAN using the original framerate and if you're like me and eventually want to see it in 60 or 120 FPS then use a motion model on the upscaled 12 FPS file to scale and correct it to either 60 for 120 FPS whichever you prefer.
@@computergeekproductions damn, I didn’t know any of that, and tbh, still a little confused, googling a lot of the stuff u said, bc tbh i’m really new to this sort of stuff

You're alright lol also make sure to set the CRF flag to 0 when outputting the new decimated video file. This will prevent any further lossy compression of the video information.
:)
