Plus, they may not have wanted to be in the video, even if they're out in public anyways. All in all. No, team viewer is just a VPN. Effectively all you are doing is accessing a computer or server located else where.
In Samsungs case every thing you are accessing is contained on the S8 which would allow you to work offline if required.
You can achieve the same with virtual any note book or compact laptop with the ability to output to a larger display or a projector. In my mind the only real advancement from Samsung being the ability to output a desktop layout from a mobile device.
Access to suitable applications will be the Androids limiting.
Microsoft a few years back launched the Intel Compute Stick, effectively a portable device contained on a usb stick. It never really took off.
