Honestly? So am I - and I am not even from the US... Trump is so unpredictable and it seems that all I hear about him other than that he became the next president, is anger, which splits society. Even though Obama did not do all the things he promised, he did a lot of good things - that should have been done far before him (e.g. the health care reform). It just does not fit my mind how people call themselves a first-world-country if in the same breath they do not have a problem to say, that those, who are poor, are at their own fault and hence have no right / way of receiving adequate medical treatment. This really bothers me, because I think that poor people are not necessarily at fault for being poor - and I think Obama truly showed a heart for them (perhaps more than many other presidents before him).
Not a fan of his politics, but unlike several other politicians we've had in office, Obama is a very genuine guy, and I respect the hell out of him for it.

As far as being ignorant or lacking understanding of other countries, I have met many Europeans that do some traveling through the US and don't even realize how easy it is to travel cross country in the US and all the while never know if they have broken a law according a specific state and county. Even then there are federal laws on top of that. Then they want to point out how stupid we are for not knowing about other languages, and I ask "while crossing from east to west how many languages did you have to know? Only English? Think about that a minute." We can even cross into Canada and not know another language. Europe, Asia, and Africa would be in the same boat if they were like us.
Tip Aly I live in South Africa and we have 11 OFFICIAL languages. Most of us speak at least 2 - even the whites. We have racism problems too but we speak openly about our issues and I think that is more healthy. We find it comical how Americans get their nickers in a knot over weird race stuff; like when Ellen Degeneris was accused of racism because she photoshopped a picture of herself sitting on Usain Bolt's back. Your racism is hidden away and it just festers then.
