This is true in 90s/00s west coast Scotland school culture. To be a top boy you had to be either good a football, good at fighting or handsome. If you were lucky enough to be all 3 you lived like a god amongst men. Even in primary school if you were the top footballer in your year it was just assumed you were also one of the best fighters and you were never expected to prove this, it just came with the reputation. By high-school however this was no longer a given and simply being good at football wasn't enough to be high in the pecking order. But yes...... if you had all 3 going for you ...... football, fighting and good-looking you were a celebrity 😂
