Bought BDC edt on 2015. Sold it after half a bottle.
Since then I've emptied a bottle of BDC EDP and recently parfum. Got around myself BDC edt 50ml again and loving it thus far, using it in the high heat. The drydown is magnificent.
BDC EDP is the all rounder. But if you live in hot and humid climate like me, edt is the best bet.

This was interesting and I'd agree savauge edges it due to performance and that is what makes the majority keep buying it but the majority aren't people like us who own fragrance collections they are mostly the had a bottle as gift for Christmas or birthday and stuck with it and brought a new bottle again and again etc, so it doesn't surprise me that we your subscribers went for the quality of scent in bleu de chanel over the performance of savauge because we own other beast mode performing fragrances wheres the average member of the public who discovers dior savauge thinks the performance is a unique thing across the whole world of fragrance so they stick to it.

sauvage's biggest problem is that people thinks EVERYONE wears it, when hardly anyone actually does. i think the two main reasons are the price (unless you are into frags, you are not likely to buy a bottle. cheapies are going to try and get a cheap clone), and the reputation of it being so popular has had the opposite effect. everyone thinks its over popular, which makes less people wear it overall, and the few dudes that stuck with it are laughing

I got Blu de Chanel back in 2010 and loved it. To me Blu de Chanel clearly is superior to Savage

Have sauvage edp and elixir and bdc edp and parfum. I wear bdc parfum and edp way more than any sauvage.

I've had both of these, and I've moved on to other frags. But I'm sure after enough time has gone by, I'll repurchase both of these.

Bleu De Chanel is so much better. I have both and the Chanel smells projects and last longer/better. Plus the Pride knock off smells exactly like Sauvage, and there isnt a knock off that can produce like Bleu

I like the Sauvage DNA more, because I'm not a fan of the sweet woods in the base of the Chanel. And I think the Sauvage EdT is the best one, truest to the spirit, since "more mature Sauvage" is an oxymoron, it's not what it's for. Don't blame the ambroxan for it being metallic though, Molecule 02 doesn't smell metallic. But a whole lot of people won't admit to liking any Sauvage apart from Elixir "because it doesn't smell like Sauvage".

You added wrong at one point, gave Sauvage 2 extra points and subtracted 2 from BDC which is better IMO. Now Sauvage
    elixir is amazing

I think both belong in your collection. Personally, I like Sauvage Le Parfum and Bleu de Chanel EDP but I’m a middle-aged guy. Young folks probably would like the EDT better.

BDC has been my signature scent way back when it first launched. Went thru the EDP and Parfum. Me being late to the game I never owned Sauvage. I just ordered my FIRST bottle of Sauvage (EDP) this week.

would say edp is the worst one of the sauvage collection, edt and elixir are way better. Still a nice scent tho

Judging from which age group should/could wear either one I'd go with:
    Sauvage: 18-25 years old
    Bleu de Chanel: 25+ years

i cant stand sauvage EDT. EDP is an improvement for sure. BDC is much nicer, although it's been a while since I smelled it. sometimes the incense/woody notes might not be my cup of tea

Folks! I went to arguably the biggest and best Niche store in Canada. The 20+ year expert perfumer said Estee Lauder replaced natural notes with synthetics in Initio, Tom Ford, PDM, Jo Malone, Le Labo. and the frags are much weaker with more alcohol. Ambroxan is amped up like crazy. If you smell right after 1st spray and it smells like gasoline that is ambroxan. I have over 10 bottles of these former companies. Why didnt the bottles say Reformulated or have Estee Lauder name ???

I can’t stand sauvage edt, but I enjoy the edp and parfum. Not sure why the edt smells off on my skin. I enjoy all bdc but prefer the edp most with the parfum closely behind.
